Dance Clubs in Dallas

So, I grew up in dallas but went to college somewhere else so now that i'm back, I was wondering if people knew some good Dance clubs to go to. I'm looking for techno/trance/breaks... probably a mid 20 something crowds, maybe a nice club... any suggestions? i'm not looking for a college crowd.

www.DallasDanceMusic.com

Go to the yellow pages section. Full list of clubs. Most of the Dallas people stay on those messageboards.

My fav place now isLush in the lower greenville area.

The music in Seven is good, kinda small place but there is a nice crowd.
Don't if Liquid is still open (i like that place for gigs.)

Downtown:

I liked Seven on Saturday nights. It is small but a really good crowd and good DJ. Everybody was partying.

The Lizard Lounge is ok. It's 18+.

Lower Greenville:

Tantra is pretty good. It is also small but well lit. There is another DJ in the back room.

Liquid is a good venue to see DJ's like Tiesto.

Ladies and Gents I hate to be the one breaking this to you if you haven't already known but Seven is closed. Sasha was the official closing party. They sold to a new owner who's switching it to a Top 40 music format and redoing the whole inside .

Man, that sucks! I always had a good time there.
I heard Area 51 is now Club Fuel, does it still play the same type of music? Any one know. I'll probably be coming back to Dallas in August for a visit.

DJ Cubano, are you djing in Dallas anywhere? I'd like to find another club like Seven.

i'm 17, i have to settle for shitty clubs like trees and the door.

what a sad thing about Seven. I liked to party there a lot. (missed sasha for a stupid reason )

What other clubs like Seven are there around other than the ones already mentioned in this thread???
What about Blue, I used to go there but for a reason the bouncers started stoping me and my friends at the entrance because of our foreign ids.. Does Blue still play good EDM?? (I saw PVD and Oscar G there, very nice club for important gigs!)

Ill be returning to Dallas in about 2 weeks and still dont know any other hot place other than LUSH and Obar.

Oh man does that blow. All the clubs that I like keep closing.

First Area 51 with Brad F & Ragman

Now Seven......

I think someone is trying to run me out of Dallas!

Seriously though, where are the clubs that are 21+ with a good crowd and a quality dj?

I guess I'm just spinning for myself on Saturday nights now

Well, after Seven comes Eight. The Eight Lounge on Lower Greenville is a really tight spot. I go there every now and then. Really nice inside, good DJ who plays a little of everything but keeps it basically EDM - he's got some real talent does neat things with sampler and whatnot. If you want a richer, 20 something crowd, go there. I love the place and they keep the trash out.

Excellent, thanks for the tip. It will be my next club night.

yes, thanks for the tip, i'll definatly have to check that out... trees is a small club that has a lot of live music, usually bands and stuff... definatly the highschool/frat boy hang out

I don't know if anyone made it out to the Eight Lounge on Friday or not, but it was a good time. The girls there were gorgeous. Also, DJ Colette and Kelly Reverb played badass house and trance music all night long. Colette even did her own vocals over the mix which sounded just mind-blowing.

On a different note, I finally figured out where Trees was. If someone had said Deep Ellum it would have rung a bell. We went to the Green Room last night and its next door to Trees. Seems like an okay place, but I will probably never venture inside.

Okay.... that's all.

Eight lounge is awesome, i just wish they would change the layout so you don't get bottle-necked between the DJ booth and the bar .

I like the way they have it because the bartenders are so easily accessible. Nice difference from some of the other places.
