hey i just thought of something, i do this all the time actually.
bike around the city, take the bike trails along the lake and go either east or west. but the best bike trail i have taken so far is the one on the dvp, start right at the bottom and keep cycling north, its a lovely trail with great park settings further north.
this will keep you fit and you get to explore cool parts of the city. dont the take the trail back though, just take some random road and get lost in some random neighbourhood, its fun finding your way back again.

^good idea actualy
When you don't have money, you go out there and MAKE money, not look for free rides. With that said...
- head down to beach at Lakeshore / Coxwell and play some beach volleyball. Just ask any team if you can join.
- rollerblade or bike around Lakeshore. While you're at it, you might as well find a girl to keep you company.
- drive down to Simcoe or Wasaga and go for a swim. Or go camping at one of the many locations around the province.
- get some friends together and have a BBQ. There are some public grills you can use around Hunt's Lake. Have a swim too!
- go for a walk down Queen St. or the surrounding area. Always plenty of stuff going on there. Good way to meet people too.
Or just be creative and come up with ways to amuse yourself (and others) wherever you are. Example? I was chilling on a patio of a downtown coffee shop with a friend of mine yesterday, when i saw a cute girl walking towards us on the sidewalk. When she came up to us, i leaned towards her, stretched out my hand with the coffee cup still full of coffee and went "spare change, miss?" She actually said "no, sorry" and then it hit her and she started cracking up.

biking is definatly my fav activity. what i usually do is, try and ride somewhere, and on the way try to hit up as many friends houses as possible. the "pop in"
that way you never know what you will get yourself into
The pop-in was a great M.O. back in my day.
I survived with no money and no job for 9 months... the trick is create a way to convince people to give you money... all my friends were alcoholics so I was Designated Driver every day... i would stop at 4 of the 7 gas stations along the way and get them to give me 5 dollars each per gas station... then only put 5 bucks at each station... (4 people x $10 x 4 = $160 - $5 x 4 = $140) $140/night plus Non-Alcoholic beverages (cause they felt bad cause i wasnt drinking...) I ended up doing this for about 3 or 4 months... until I had enough money to relax and get wasted with em...
