Rasta

I'm gonna miss it this friday unfortunately due to work. Next Friday i'm game though, let's see if I can get a small slot there to put everyone's salivary glands into overdrive . Been itching to spin after being given the dubious honor by Packer and Octane to spin one track. Thanks fudge.

Unhappy This is getting silly

I can't believe it. We already have 5 "residents," and there's talk about a 6th?! And a guest?!! What the hell. I mean, only so many DJs can spin at one friday. Soon we'll be having everyone swap out after 30 minutes. I can't believe people would drive from San Antonio for that. I think what we should do is only have 3 DJs a night. Have 3 come one week and 3 come the next week and rotate it like that. I think 5-7 is just WAY too much. What do other people think??

Posted by Rememberence_ on Jul-23-2004 05:15:

Hoyt, read my last posts. That's exactly what I've been trying to say. We could have you, Travis, and Sir Jackson 2 nights outta the month and Packer, myself, and another "resident" the other 2 nights outta the month. We just need to play around with things and see what happens.

Monkey Dancer 2 I LIKE MONKEYS!

You know you make awesome sense!

Keep in mind that most of the time I spend on here is after 2 AM while I'm at work so I'm not at my prime intelligence.

Should I talk to JoeJoe about this orrr...

I really hope I get a good timeslot for tonight. Any time between 10 and 12:30 would be good... I'll keep my fingers crossed =)

Jester

I had fun this last friday! Was killer...I am glad I got to play also, didnt get to play a set I wanted, but HERE HERE for improved trance set (spun records I haven't spun in MONTHS!!)

Posted by Rememberence_ on Jul-25-2004 21:10:

Good seein you again mate, you played some absolute corkers (err KISS) Had a good night, though my set was average... oh and Mike, get those pictures of the crew up here! I'll PM you my yahoo info too, so check your messages.

Posted by DJ_Octane on Jul-25-2004 21:19:

Mike, Kiss was sooooo good, I had to play it in MY set. Whatever people were on the floor definitely dug it. Had a blast as always fellas. Hey Packer, did you record the sets?

Posted by Rememberence_ on Jul-25-2004 21:57:

Dave, lmao once again the recordings are a bit f*cked. Because my set was kinda last minute, I was in a bit of a rush to mix out of Hoyt's CDJs and set up the recording at the same time... so the first 10 minutes of my set were on the auto record levels again... then during my third track I had to stop the recording and set it to manual so I wouldn't have volume problems again. So I have my set but it has maybe a minute missing from track 3 and the first 10 minutes have the same volume issues.

The other thing is I had planned to only record my set and yours, at full quality, but due to the rush I left the recorder on long play. This meant that the recording went for 160 minutes from the time I got on the decks... 45 (me) + 45 (trav) + 45 (blake) = 135 mins, so the recording would have stopped 25 minutes into your set. Bah!!!

Sorry mate, I'll do better next time, promise

Here's my tracklist - Packer live @ Nuno's Trance Nation Fridays 2004-07-23 (45 min)

1) Barthezz - On The Move (Dumonde Remix)
2) The Thrillseekers - Dreaming Of You (Svenson & Gielen Remix)
3) Vengaboys - Cheekah Bow Bow (Transa Remix)
4) Above & Beyond - Far From In Love (Airbase Remix)
5) System F - Solstice
6) M1 - Heaven Sent (Michael Woods Club Mix)
7) Rank 1 - Airwave (Rank 1 vs. Dutchforce Mix)
8) M.I.D.O.R & Six4Eight - Point Zero
9) Unknown Source - Nadjanema (Original Mix)

Posted by DJ_Octane on Jul-25-2004 23:10:

It's cool bud,

Here's what I played at Nuno's:

1. System F - Exhale (Armin Van Buuren Remix)
2. Tenth Planet - Ghosts (Vincent De Moor Remix)
3. Vengaboys - Kiss (Airscape Remix)
4. Ferry Corsten - Right of Way
5. Ton TB - Electronic Malfunction (Cor Fijneman's Outstanding Mix)
6. Robert Nickson - Spiral

Wish I could have thrown on more, but I wanted Julio Steve to get a track in or two. Hopefully next time things will be more organized.

Posted by Rememberence_ on Jul-25-2004 23:13:

I did get Travis' set without a hitch though, and it's a damn good set. It's the only one I'm going to rip, so if anyone wants it, PM me and I'll give you a link.

Badass tracks Pedro!!

Posted by DJ_Octane on Jul-26-2004 01:51:

Thanks bud, I just itched to play those older tracks at first.

Posted by DJ Hoyt on Jul-26-2004 06:25:

When I spun, I had these two asians that actually stayed till my set ended (amazingly enough). They loved it and wanted demos. I only had several minutes, so I threw on my latest and greatest stuff.

So far, I have been passing out flyers quite a bit. The following places I have put flyers up.

* Various places at St. Edwards
* Zen's restaurant on Congress (Best food by the way!)
* Turntable Records by 1st St. and Mary St.

I went to Alien Records, but there were already quite a bit of flyers there.

I've also been thinking of making some T-shirts for Trance Nation on Cafepress. That would be really good and I believe their price is only $12 each and then we could sell them at the club for $18. Just an idea.

Also, JoJo, I'm going to be giving you a call tomorrow and let you know of a great promotional opportunity I found out about

See you all next week!
