I got my ticket , and so did my bro, plus we got 4 other tickets. Oct. 5th is a good friends bday, so I'll most likely be going with around 12+ people, but only 2 of us are TA's.
I can't wait for Tiesto!!!!!!

u know it fastdj......

at least i wont be wearing the black pants like the rest of the ginos who went to "oakieford"

Hmmmm, I thought for sure they would close down the hiphop room for when Tiesto's coming, but now I'm not to sure. I bought some more tickets for a few more freinds yesterday from Admissions, and on the ticket it says "Dj Tiesto" (main room). Hopefully there won't be any hiphop and it will give everyone a bit more space and the freedom to dance and enjoy the magic of Tiesto.
DJ Tiesssssssto!!!!!

hello first i want to say hi to all this nice ppl here

me and my frriend arrived from mexico 6 days ago. and well we like dj tiesto. and we want to go see him, so i got some questions for you guys.

i went to tiesto site and it says he's going to be on ARIA and SONA wich one is better to go??

what is the dress code?? do we have to dress all fancy? are jeans allowed??

do we have to buy the ticket before the show?? or can we get them at the door??

well like i said im new at this country so excuse the bad spelling, and the questions. but if you can please give your answers

Hey Congo,

Well first off I think the Aria is misspelled and it's actually a club in Quebec city, so unless you feel like going for a nice drive to see Tiesto in a place other then Montreal, Sona's the place for you to go.
There is no dress code, this isn't NyC so you don't have to be all dressed up to hit an after hours club. You can buy tickets at the door, but this is a pre-sale event, which means it could possibly be sold out, and even if it isn't I'm guessing not having a ticket would result in having to wait in line for a while.
You can purchase your tickets online at
http://www.admission.com/html/evinf...X=18972&l=EN&C=
or you can go to the Molson center, or any admission's outlet to buy tickets. I would definitely suggest that you buy your tickets prior to the show and not take a chance on missing TIESTO!!! He's definitely someone you dont want to take the chance of missing!
All right, well if you have any other questions, feel free to ask, I'll try to answer them as best as possible, and enjoy your partying here in Montreal

what stuff do you think tiesto will play ?

Posted by TheRizzler on Sep-21-2001 19:30:

RnakR,

I don't know what he'll play, but I'm sure that it will be trance, and that it will be totally amazing! I've never heard a Tiesto set that I've been disappointed with, and both opportunities I've had to hear him live, he's played the two best sets that I've ever heard! A lot of the times I stop dancing and have to just listen. To my ears, it's perfection. My favorite set to date is from when he came to Sona in Feb, I waited over an hour outside in -20'c weather to get in, and I'd have to say that I'd do it again! That set he mixed in a lot of different styles, I heard him put in some break beats, which I hadn't really heard him do before, I loved it Both times that I've seen him, I've passed by him after his set and we've nodded heads to each other, and it's never till after he passes that I always ask my bro "who was that, he looked familiar" and twice my bro has told me "that was Tiesto!! "Hopefully this time I'll get the opportunity to tell him how great his music :P

Tiesto is God!!

Posted by RnakR on Sep-21-2001 19:43:

yes but the problem is that his music has changed a lot since last months.... did your hear his latest sets ??!!

Posted by fastmp3 on Sep-21-2001 20:09:

Yes RnakR is right , i didn't like his latest essential mix , if he's going to play the same tracks then i will be deceived . I'm kind of afraid ...

Posted by TriPhOdd on Sep-21-2001 20:40:

I woudln't...

...worry to much... live sets are always diffrent than radio sets normaly better to, don't you guys think ??

Posted by RnakR on Sep-21-2001 21:48:

the problem is that it's not only the essential mix who's bad , there's also all the lastest since a couple 2-3 months ...all bad....the thing that can save us is that maybe in canada he wanna promote more trance stuff like magik 7 .... because if he plays his new style eruuurk !

WURD!!!

Posted by TheRizzler on Sep-21-2001 23:35:

I liked the sets I've heard from him lately, some of them have been radio sets, but the sets from parties that I've gottten, I've extremely liked. Ex: Tiesto live at club eau 06-03-01, k it might be 3 months old, but anybody who says that's not a sick ass set is crazy! There's a few examples I can put, but I'm not going to, because everyone is intitled to there own opinion, I'm just really hoping that you're basing your opinion on having heard many of his sets from as of lately, and not just one or two.
I think the essential mix you're talking about is the one where he played all soft trance, right? I liked it, but agree that it wouldn't be the greatest for a hyped party. Never the less, I'm just saying that I don't think Tiesto would bust that out at a live party. I'm not even going to bother saying any more, I'll just wait for Oct. 6th+ to read all the positive reviews
Sorry if I seemed defensive, just Tiesto is my favorite dj, and I could never imagine being disappointed with getting to hear and see one of his sets, only privileged.

hey rizzler thanks a lot you have been very helpfull. i asked about the dress code cause in acapulco (where i used to live) the big clubs have codes like no jeans, no tennis shoes, no sandals etc. very fancy looking ppl go. and they give like priority to older ppl (ppl with cash ) but thanks for clearing that up for me

i will see you guys in there.

and yes all the live tiesto sets i have heard till now have never been dessapointing .

expect to hear uplifting

urban train, flight 643 are guarantees....

besides, if you go on his website, they often talk about magik 7 being a north american set.....so i would expect to hear lost vagueness, sunrise at palamos and stuff like that.....
he opened with insigma - open our eyes last time and i hope he plays it again!
