Sure, you can do it but that would be pretty much illegal.

Yeah it's illegal. A prime example of that backfiring was the Avril Lavigne - I'm with you (Leama and Moor mix). She found out and it was pulled. Thankfully, I got it right before that happened. Who-ha!

Did Avril herself have such a problem with it or was it her record company? Hmmm. Sometimes the artists like bootlegs and remixes of their stuff, but the label makes them SHHH

I'd imagine it was more the label not wanting to tarnish her 'punk' image with an electronic take on her song.

Because, after all, she's so hardcore 'punk.'

Anyways - wonderful effort by James, I'll be using and abusing this on CDR.

Sounds reasonable. Which of course, brings to mind another question. Avril said that she has never actually called herself punk in any interview, and that the label was slapped on her by marketing and other media. Having read through numerous interviews, I can't find one instance of her actually dubbing herself that yet, so good so far. Curious. :|
