I've recently obtained all their albums, and WOW ! What a band !
For the past few days i've been a Beatles-addict!

I like them!

Posted by MarkT on Jul-23-2004 18:02:

I like them a lot too...but I always argue that the Rolling Stones were by far a more interesting group of people who produced more diverse music...and they were the 'bad boys' of rock, lol.

Correction, the Actual name of the song is "NO PAKIS"
You can find the song on their following album,

Beatles - BOOTLEG - The Black Album - disc 1 - 16 - No Pakis

When was it recorded? No clue. Probably in the 60's. The info is probably in the album cover

Nah !! Beatles have pioneered soo much !

Apparently Beatles's - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's club is one of the most influental albums ever.

I like the Beatles... and i've also just discovered from my brother the meaning behind Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

2 Things,
The word Pakis is a racial slur, which should not be used.

Second, The lyrics of the songs are basically, to get out of England blah blah typical imperialistic attitude.

I agree with Durafei.....the Beatles did so much for music.

The Rolling Stones are good, but not Beatles good

Posted by mot10n on Jul-23-2004 20:16:

rolling stones are a jam band.

beatles actually thought stuff out more

the beatles is the greatest band that ever existed and fromthe looks of it, will ever exist...

if there are any musicians reading this thread, u can prolly relate to the complexity of their songs even tho they sound so simple...chord structures, beat patterns and all...

did u know that they recorded their first album in 1 day?

wah wah wah...

you obviously have no understanding of the 60's in Britain so stop discussing it. When are people going to learn that you can't view history with modern ideals. everything should be taken in context.

Anyway, yeah..the Beatles are a great band. Too bad half of them are dead.

I'm the Walrus! COOOOO-COOOOOO KA- CHOOOOOOOOO!

The Beatles always have a special place in my heart....I had a brother who passed away years ago and taught me that the Beatles can uplift you anytime. I also inherited two milk crates full of Beatle LPs with many imports and rarities.

agreed.

that said, i prefer the stones to the beatles. it's just a sound i prefer more, even if it is less complex/artistic. i appreciate teh beatles, but in terms of what i want from a rock band, the stones have it- raw tunes to rock out to.

i dont mean to e offensive but its prolly ur N. American upbringing that made u like the style since rolling stones, despite being british, had an american style to their stuff

no way...they had a ton of good stuff!

Sympathy for the Devil...Paint it Black...Wild Horses...You can't always get what you want...Beast of Burden...etc.

Given a choice between seeing either band live, and during their prime, no question I'd choose the Stones!
