Smiley DJ Markus Schulz - Coldharbour Selections 1 (inc. Probspot - Blueberry)

Just saw this one newly available:

Markus Schulz - Coldharbour Selections 1
Electronic Elements - ELEL008

A1: Probspot - Blueberry
B1: Solid Globe - Sahara (Markus Schulz Coldharbour Remix)
B2: Tadi & NV - Indian Hashish

Well this is the first vinyl containing the massive hit Blueberry which i'm sure we all know and love by now. If you haven't heard this tune yet chekc it out. The Sahara remix sounds pretty much like a conventional MS remix. I was hoping he may improve the song by getting rid of that annoying "cat drowning" melody, but unfortunately he kept it in there. In my opinion the remix doesn't really add anything to the original. As for the Indian Hashish song, well I haven't heard it yet so i can't comment, so if you have heard it let us know.

What do you guys think?

that cat drowning synth is what gives Sahara its unique sound

Indian Hashish is quite good. driving prog-trancer, not usually Markus' sound. i was obsessed with it about a month ago

Tadi is probably the best DJ/producer in China.

so, yes, check it out

pretty nice compilation

i thought the title was [gonna be?] Coldharbour Selections, though

not to bash markus or something, but isn't it a little bit of an abuse to release "various artists" records under his name? even knowing he has one of his mixes on there

Might be getting this just for Blueberry, since it's one of my favourite tracks this year.

It's called a vinyl sampler from his mix compilation. Every DJ does it these days. There's nothing wrong with it!

That's right, Coldharbour Selections 1.

it's Coldharbour Selections indeed, and it's not a sampler of his album, just a pick of some good traxx!! Around october, the 2nd part will come out... does any1 have a clue which releases could be on/will be on it? Let's speculate! :P

as others pointed out it's not a sampler unless it's considered a sampler from the global dj broadcasts

no, i dont think so.

every 2 - 3 months, markus will choose 3 tracks that he really likes for an exclusive on his "coldharbour selections series" on EE/Armada.

all the best,

arturo
