I was doing 68 in a 45 and the officer let me go with a warning.

Moral of the story: make up a story.

defiantly

what's important is not the fine per se, it's about the points and your record

well the cop told me that its a 4 point ticket, but if i turn it in on time then it automatically goes down to 2... what if i go to court and then don't win and it stays at 4?

What's involved in challenging a speeding ticket?

Surely if you get caught over the limit there's no reason you can give?

79 in a 35.

arrested twice for racing. i have court friday morning for a race against a tt supra. Saw the poliuce report though, no speeds, the officer that witnessed it never went to twhere we got arrested, he never relayed specifics to the arresting officers in regards to the cars. everything in the police report is based off of assumptions.

I can't say I've ever had a ticket, but I always take it around 35-40 in a school zone (which are 25 around here).

Posted by Boomer187 on Jul-26-2004 21:34:

BTW speeding in school zones here is insane.

I think 5 over is clsoe to $600, then it gets to around $1200 as you get to 20 over...

feel lucky...

147 in a 65. I got arrested, which sucked major ass. Got my license suspended for 3 months, which was reduced to 1 month on appeal. After the ticket and court fees I was out 1500$. And my insurance is still fuxz0red.

That was the ultimate sux0r ever. That was like 3 years ago tho, no massive tickets like that since

nope, I was driving my 1969 Dodge Charger. I was on my way back to campus, when I was in school in South Carolina, and I guess the cops knew the school I went too, small liberal arts place in Greenville (and Im sure I had the only all black charger in town), cause there were 3 greenville cops and 2 college squad cars waiting for me when I pulled into campus. It was quite the scene. I felt like The Fugitive. I figured some Cop got me on radar on the highway and radioed ahead.

"stupid is as stupid does"

Underneath a starlit sky, beneath a smothered dream,
