Hey not bad at all!
Great energy, great atmosphere, sound quality sounds pretty decent.
The only thing you should work on IMO is the arrangement of your tune which seems kind of messy right now. Also try making your transitions softer and less noticeable.

Nice effort mate, a lot better then your last tune.

i miss a crash in the 16 bars transition

bass is cool.

0.55 that synth really need more delay with panning i prefer .

no actuall lead ,to bad

tune needs more imo, can't really comment more on it, if thats what you wanted for a tune thats fine .

Great track! Really enjoyed

I like it, although you've got too much going on too early in the track, would make it a tad harder to mix. I think it would be better to add the percussion later into the track and not so early. I like this track a lot and I really love your style (I liked Hive too).

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad that you guys enjoyed the tune for what it is, simple and melodic.

I'm going to finish this up, definitely fix up the intro and smooth over the transitions and add some general polish.

DJ Kreing^^ ... perhaps the arrangement seems messy because the transitions are not smooth enough? I love to know if you agree, because this tune was the first one I've done where I've actually sat down and planned out the whole arrangement from the start. i.e. as far as I know, this is my best arranged tune... But if you've got any more specific tips, I would love to know.

And Massive84, good point - I'll definitely up the delay and panning on that synth; which is, by the way, the lead melody ... so no! you don't get an actual lead, since there already is one And yeah, this is all I wanted for a tune, something really simple, and direct.

Thanks again for listening everyone, and the invaluable feedback!

Love the track. Bass is great. Delay would be good on the lead synth.

A crash between transitions would be good, but the transitions aren't that bad.

Simple tracks always seem to work best IMO.

Thanks again guys for listening, and for the invaluable feedback!

The song is updated, just use the same link at the top of the post.

I've put in the cymbal crashes and smoothed over some of the transitions. Plus I've added a better intro that should be mix-friendly. Also there is some delay on the main melody.

Thanks heaps for the suggestions, I'm pretty happy with the song now, those changes have really helped!

Sound quality is good, melody is nice! But there are some mistakes in this track! Like the track sounds very monotonous! Because the main theme plays till breakdown a replays after ii!!! Try to change theme before breakdown!!! Anyways good work!!!

Posted by Stories on Aug-01-2004 19:51:

The new modified version sounds a lot cleaner and a bit better produced. I consider it a mint tune now (because I can mix it better ). Cheers mate!

Sounds are pretty rawish and sawish, could use some filters over them. Don't like that background open hihat loop. Fx are preety cool. I like the melody as well. Synth could use some clarity, why not add a tad more high. It's a bit of a drag to keep listening to it. Almost halfway and nothing is really happening, lacks a bit of power. Try to add more variety in the percussion. I miss a real climax.

Overall decent work, keep up!

this is crap, joke sounds quite cool actually. i dont like the kick and bass at the start, but i guess thats the style of the track. i dont think the bass should be panned so much to the left, or that first bassline anyway. also in the rest of the track it all sounds quite mono, so could do with some more stereo width on the higher frequencies but not so much on the lower i think. other than that it sounds pretty cool
