Confused Software mixing.

Okk....am new to the mixing scene. Wanna try my hand at software mixing first to get some idea about the whole fading, cueing etc stuff...
pls suggest what software you ever used or would recommend using before I get into the real thing !!!

Traktor DJ Studio

www.nativeinstruments.com

I hate software mixing. Mixing with equipment is a LOT easier.

But, your best bet would be Traktor.

stick to version 1.0 of traktor
the newest one, is blah.
plus it should be easier on you.
have fun.

nice one.

Yeah... the traktor DJ studio screenshot looks awesome....but that software costs huge bucks !! 229$ for the Studio 2.5. The other cheaper one is like 70-80bucks.... So i would wait for a while...or might just decide of downloading that stuff !!

You mean there's a way to get software by downloading it for free?

I use Atomix mp3 and I did download the software while on Kazza Lite

Posted by rohit_79 on Jul-30-2004 21:31:

Yeah can download the stuff through kazaa or torrents or Mirc. Just not a good practice...unfair to the profession of those guys. But ya for 229$ i might

i can not, for the life of me, get torrents to work...
i have the program, it just won't open on my computer.
i know i fixed whatever i needed to to be able to download it in the first place, but it won't work and it frustrates me.

If anyone wants to try it, I can hook them up with a working version of Kazaa Lite that does not require a membership. Let me know if anyone wants it. I have it floating around somewhere....

it isnt good for that anymore? (kazaa lite)

hope so cuz I will never *pay* for porn. Thats like: paying for a hooker...except you do all the work. And that doesnt make any sense. with that said, no more posting until the grey goose wears off.

as far as software mixing goes... whenever the day comes where I can afford to I get a G4 (with a very fast processor, at least a gig of ram etc) I'd look into at Final Scratch or the latest version of Ableton Live

Posted by D Dubya on Aug-25-2004 19:03:

Kazaa is still excellent for music and software. And whenever you're looking to download any music video or movie all you will get is porn results. I tried to find the movie The Beach yesterday. I never knew they made so many pornos involving a beach. I never did find the damn movie.

Then again, right now I just saw on fox news they did some sting on people in 3 states (including texas) for supposedly sharing stuff on Kazaa.... Not good.

LOL, I know they can. When I worked retail we had that on for 10 hours a day, 7 days a week. I was a fountain of information -- They report, I decide (or so they promise)
