DJX 700 Question
I just bought the DJX 700 yesterday. I'd say it's a pretty good mixer for a beginner turntable dj. But I can't figure out how to get the bpm counters working right on it. Can anyone help?
you can press one of the buttons underneath each BPM counter in time with the music and it'll give you an approximate value. make sure you have each BPM counter SET on the right channel.
however the counter on the DJX700 is seriously crap in my opinion, and sometimes not even the bass LEDs are accurate. my advice, get lots of tape and tape it all over. better in the long run for sure.
I really can't sync any songs together, I don't know if it's me or the crappy gemini turntables
what you should do is put coins on top of the BPM counters and learn by ear and practice from there.
unless you are just trying to figure out how to use it and already know how to mix, then n/m
oh and sell those geminis and get some techs
I'm 13
I can't really afford technics
next year i'll be able to get some when I get a job
granted, they aint the best deck in the world (there are worse) but the gemini's will be just fine to learn on, and when you eventually buy higher end decks (note the lack of the word 'technics') you will find things much easier, and your learning will be accellerated.
just ignore the beat counter. if you are going to use one, it at least needs to be accurate, and by the sounds of it this thing aint accurate. it is always bes to do it by ear, at the very most use it as a rough guide to quickly get your pitch fader to around the right area (again, doing this by ear will come with time)
word
i bought a djx700
i just needed a dj mixer and i got it for cheap compared to list price of 350, and the sale price in a catelogue for 250,
i got some 1200m3d techs... ahh im stoked about mixing... but hey i'm impressed, i didn't know what beatmatching was when i was 13
I got mine for $199
hah
the sale price in the catelouge was 250, i got it off ebay for 200
trick is find a low price online and take it to guitarcenter. they'll pricematch it
i got my hd 280s for 80$
got a pair of mk5 and a whitelabel for 500$ (bought them at different times)
yea... totally, they (guitar center) had an alesis 4ch 6fx mixer there for like... 200 bucks... i found a deal online for like 114 hehe, printed it off, brought it in, got me a cheap mixer
