New Car

I ordered a new car on July 9th, and since I'm bored today I'm making a thread about it. It's a black 2005 Mustang V6 (insurance on a GT was going to be over 2000 dollars more a year) with a manual transmition and red leather seats. When it gets delivered to the dealer I'll follow this thread up to show you guys I'm not shitting you. Since production doesn't even start 'til September 5th, don't expect those pictures til October or November. But, here are soem photos that are pretty damn close to what I'll have.

Inside: Only differences being the seat lever will be on the back of the front seat due to side airbags and the shifter is a bit different.

I'm 18 and had a wreck a while back that was my fault. I'm guessing insurance companies don't like 18 year old high risk drivers to have a car with 300 hp.

umm, ok. But I'm sure my Aurora would beat it as well.

it's cool tho my bro has an 03 M5 so we can race when u come to town. SO I can be cool like u in a beamer

Posted by Floorfiller on Jul-30-2004 20:44:

well i agree. i'm just saying that upgrading the model like that shouldn't make that huge a difference...maybe 200-300 bucks every six months at most, but not an extra 1000!

Prices haven't been released yet. The dealer made me put 500 down and I'm putting it in my dad's name because his company has Ford's X-Plan which lets us pay 2% over dealer invoice. It'll probably come out to about 21 or 22k. And btw, the V6 Mustang is far from a sports car. The GT, however, is.

Oh, and if I want to drive a fast car I'll just take my dad's heavily modified '86 Trans Am for a spin. And no, we aren't rednecks. It's actually nice and maintained.

hahah i was thinking that and then i saw this and i was like.. oh hehe

Posted by guster on Jul-30-2004 20:51:

I needed a larger car. I definitely don't want a two-seater. I know because one of my options was a 2003 MR-2 with just 5000 miles on it. I still picked the Mustang because it has more space.

i know how they rate differently...i'm just saying that the extra surcharge you would get because its a GT shouldn't be 1000 every six months...
