Ikon is a newly renovated club located in the former Exit building. The third floor is where the pink room and sky lounge (outdoor terrace) are located which make up an comfortable atmosphere and vibe. The newly installed sound on the main floor is excellent and the new renovations make for an overall beautiful space. Looking forward to a great night!

It's cool that they keep the roof open thru the morning hours. It's something I wish the place had done more of when it was Exit. Gives it more of a terrace-like feel, like at Space in Miami or Ibiza.
Jason was scheduled to play in the pink room last night (this morning) but was moved to the roof (and for a little bit in another room) and played a wonderful sunrise set.
hehe, John and I will come around soon to see what ya got
Alisa
Definitely hit this place up.

went to Ikon on friday...was really pumpin'..so many ppl. we came @ around 1am and there was still a line starting from almost the corner of the street...Exit was never this packed on a regular night! all the rooms were filled, including the rooftop. only thing that bothered me some was that the music could've been better...but the crowd was pretty good...very good ratio of males to females too
Re: Grand Opening Of Godskitchen!
benke is a great dj - nice to see him in the line-up
and that david josephs guy is pretty good too

hmm emerson eh? that mite bring me there...
these are the times where i really start to miss arc
R.I.P
Has this got anthing to do with Godskitchen over here?
is the ikon crowd the same as the exit/avalon crowd?
Were you at the same IKON on Friday that had KTU's the Riddler and Vic Latino spinning on the main floor and Hip Hop in 3 of the other rooms? Didnt seem like a good time to me while I was there. I hope that Godskitchen will be the start of a true EDM party in the building that is in need of resurrection. Good Luck Jason!
Looks like a good line up bro. I will be there. To represent. Also, it has been waaaay to long since we have hung out.
good to see some new nights in nyc
(and that exit has had a makeover)

i hope that Godskitchen Saturdays @ Ikon will bring about some sort of ressurection of the EDM scene here in NYC. To me, its at its lowest peak. Disgusted by the scene. It's sad =T I was at Avalon a couple weeks for Tall Paul, and the vibe.. it was just horrible. Disgusting. People werent there for the DJ. People werent there for the love of the music. People were toooo wasted on their drinks, if not they was tripping ever so badly on their candy.
Where's the vibe? its sucks... i really hope Godskitchen doesnt turn out to be another commercialized party. =T There are people out there who love the electronic dance music scene and arent neccesarily there to roll hard. Some want to go through the journey and experience of the great DJ who comes to NYC to do a live PA/Set and just want to have some fun.
lol, why am i spilling my heart out.
I hope this place is as good as the old exit used to be , i really miss those days...PVD , Tiesto at exit....
best club in the city ever....EXIT 4 EVER

its cool and all but until the crowds change at exit, the place is a big waste of space.. tony draper really fucked shit uop bigtime.. cuz he was the one who attracted these type of crowds and just created a terrible rep for the club.. and after his residnecy was done, no matter how many different parties they try to throw, the crowd never really changed.. just the djs and the promoters did..

Godskitchen is starting on the 14th, before that it was another party. One thing i can say about Godskitchen is that they have all the connections to do it right. I'm confident that they will use what they have to there advantage. |
