well i got my first pair of turntables from ebay there stanston str 60 there not bad and they were in great condition problem is when i got them only one of them works the other one i turn it on its turns on allright but when i press play it doesnt spin what should i do or could do?
i emailed the person i bough it off he said i didnt purchase insurence on them so there is nothing he could do about it im so pissed off damn it...
uhh...bash it with a hammer? send it to me? pour Vitamin G and Vitamin L (Gas And Lighter Fluid) on it and throw a match at it? Put glow fuel on it and light it up?
Smash it with a hammer and send it back to the guy

Take it to your local electrical store and tell them you switched it on and it doesnt work, let them have a look and see what they say could be some loose wires or you could need a new part(contact stanton)
Be careful with ebay there are some nobs around

sadly you can purchase broken technics as well, that doesn't remedy the problem . . .
sorry to hear that... but yea.. always buy insurance when buying tables off ebay. and as far as remedy goes, its probably the motor thats fucked... your best bet is to bring it to your local pro audio store and pay a good amount of change to get it fixed. wait.. are those tables belt drive or direct? b/c if its belt, the belt might be broken, which is much cheaper to replace or fix.

STR8-60s are direct-drive tables, so a belt isnt the problem. Your best bet probably would be letting an electronics expert look at it.
and what I think what we were trying to say was that telling somebody what, in your opinion, they "should have done" doesnt really help them after the fact . . .
