Take it to your local electrical store and tell them you switched it on and it doesnt work, let them have a look and see what they say could be some loose wires or you could need a new part(contact stanton)

Be careful with ebay there are some nobs around

what a surprise
nearly every bloody post u put up says
something along the lines of 'buy some technics'
ur starting to sound like a broken record now

sadly you can purchase broken technics as well, that doesn't remedy the problem . . .

sorry to hear that... but yea.. always buy insurance when buying tables off ebay. and as far as remedy goes, its probably the motor thats fucked... your best bet is to bring it to your local pro audio store and pay a good amount of change to get it fixed. wait.. are those tables belt drive or direct? b/c if its belt, the belt might be broken, which is much cheaper to replace or fix.

there are parts easily available to be bought and used to fix

STR8-60s are direct-drive tables, so a belt isnt the problem. Your best bet probably would be letting an electronics expert look at it.

and what I think what we were trying to say was that telling somebody what, in your opinion, they "should have done" doesnt really help them after the fact . . .
