-- connecting a pioneer efx 500 to a xone 92
connecting a pioneer efx 500 to a xone 92
Do these work together.
I've just got a new xone 92 and a friend gave me a loan of his efx 500, but I don't know how to connect it.
Do they even go together?
At the moment i've got it in thru the mic channel I think and altho it works - it sounds shite.
I'm not very technically minded so any help would be appreciated.

| Originally posted by tu_face wrong. why the hell would you attatch an fx unit to a mic input..?? and the efx500 SOUNDS AS GOOD AS THE INPUT. so wired correctly to an allen + heatjh, it will sound fantastic, and way better than a djm600. chesco, either: wire it from the output on your mixer into the input on the efx500, then output on efx500 >stereo/amp. or, if the xone92 has effect send & return jacks, take the send from the mixer to the input of the efx500, and the output of the efx500 to the return pon the mixer. with send/return it doesnt sound as good, but you can use it on individual channels as opposed to just the master signal. i just wire it from the main output straight to the efx, then to my amp. it sounds fantastic. make sure you don't use a clean feed output though (they are labelled as such on a+h mixers) hope this helps |

| Originally posted by The Don Look mate, with all due respect, its my fuckin mixer and the mic channel also doubles as the Rtn. So dont try and tell me stuff I already know. And as for plugging it straight into the master output, well thats fine if you want to loose the sound quality from the mixer.. |
How would you like to be mixerless? In fact, how would you like to never get near the decks again?
just pointing out facts that the efx sound shite.
