Very very very soon will be going to be a trance experience in Cuernavaca morelos. This will be invitation only as it will be in a private house so if you want further information pm me.

not sure yet, maybe corsten if we are lucky with a few other unknown djs. we have been talking into just bringing local djs to test the scene and then bring corsten to D.F. as it is a safer bet.

there's a predominance for goa/psy in here. Out of 10 trancers, i'm sure 9 go for it, and saddly it's the only style of EDM that's actually been introduced properly (that is, with lots of djs on the genre, and frequent gigs).

What's exactly in your mind anyway? cause I think it's gonna be a bit hard you may attrack the attention of the locals with other style that's not goa/psy, or hardcore as other just mentioned.

Im absolutely not interested in setting up a gig with psy trance. In fact im planning to open a trance (that�s progressive trance) kind of mentality within people�s music taste. Also this gig will not be opened to the general public.

heh, I wasn't implying that you should do it. I was just curious what was exactly your goal, which I find quite interesting for the facts I mentioned before.

People here aren't exactly too informed on trance, and events like this is exactly what we need. Anyway, i'll send you a PM cause i'm very very interested.

Very very few people actually listen to it for what it is, the rest just take it for the simple fact they listen to it while getting wasted. Hmmm I wish I had read this thread earlier, but anyway, I'm in Mexico City and I'm a huge fan of [mainly] progressive trance; and trance too. I, like you, think that new venues should be open for this kind of EDM, and frequently do gigs for ppl's birthdays or such in Mexico City. Not up for me to say it but ppl have really really enjoyed these gigs; it's music they like and not often hear anywhere. So I'd say I'd luv to apply for DJ'ing in that party, if you like what I do. Get in touch with me, private message me and maybe I could even send you a couple Demo DJ Sets I've recorded, I'm sure you'll like them

D00d that's because you live in Chiapas, (no ofense but) EDM is barely known there Jalisco and Monterrey have the greatest scene IMHO.

This reminded me of what people used to say in the 90's about the "Candy Kid Ravers" in the U.S. (Until the rave act). In a lot of ways it's true but you can't just asume that everyone that listens to goa listens for that reason. Although I do dislike kids being wasted and dressing like aliens with pink hair, but alas what can you do?

valid point, although liebing isn't exactly psy, nor was the event in mexico. so it's just a bit out of context. but valid, nontheless.
