Invisible Grin BT - The force of gravity (Tiësto remix)

vocal trance tune of the year so far imo... tiesto as always is invincible when remixing vocals... great melody and huge breakdown.
why is this so underrated? was it released yet?

Posted by The Peach on Aug-03-2004 03:52:

the reason no one really notices tiesto's mix is because ferry's is infinitely better.

ferry's letely electro-ish sound is beginning to sound annoying and almost cheesy and can't be compared to tiesto's masterpiece. imo.

Posted by The Peach on Aug-03-2004 04:08:

well, i do like a lot of what tiesto does, but i absolutely love that "electro-ish" sound of ferry's in force of gravity. just a matter of tastes i guess .

Don't try and dissuade The Master against worshipping all things Tiesto.

Posted by The Peach on Aug-03-2004 04:27:

ohhhh, i see, one of "those." hehe, just joking master.

Al Azar Remix or STFU!!!!

hehe, Ferry Corsten's mix is equally as good.....i haven't heard the Tiesto remix yet, but Ferry's is OMGIDIE material.

tiestos is boring ferrys is god nuff said

I think Tiesto's remix is very poorly rated mainly because the remix is very poorly produced and constructed. It lacks imagination and creativity, and consists of only a few very simple sounds. There aren't enough elements to make it interesting and the song structure doesn't do anything to maintain my interest.

Very true.
It sounds like Tiesto took his favourite 1000x times used CD with 'cool trance samples' and the original BT midi file to 'make a remix'.

Nice tune, but like many others I prefer Ferrys mix to Tiestos in the remix department. However I think I'm one of the few people who actually prefers the original over a remix of this track.

That's cool remix, but ferry's is little bit better. Tiësto's is nice one too.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Aug-03-2004 13:27:

I bought the vinyl because of the Tiësto mix when I hadn't actually heard it. What a mistake that was. The mix sounds amateurish, it's all over the place... terrible!

Luckily the other mixes make up for it (esp. the Attention Deficit mix of The Great Escape).

Gouryella?????

Hmm..... Ferrys tunes and his energy are probably better than tiesto. But Tiesto creates a nice emotion, and uplift to his music.....

WE have to remember that some of the greatest works by both artists have happened because they worked together. (gouryella). But stupid Tiesto pulled out (though I still respect him), because :

"it's just not my style"

Posted by Tranceguy1 on Aug-03-2004 13:55:

Ferry's is infinitly better, just as his original work and collaborations are infinitly better than Tiesto's.

Yeah thats a bold statement but I made it!

Posted by NiteMer on Aug-03-2004 16:22:

Tiesto's production value has definitely started to decline. Even so, he has produced some of the best tracks in the past, and his remixes have also been excellent in the past. Delirium - Innocente, Urban Train, Lethal Industry, Conjure One - Tears from the Moon...

And his collaborations with Armin and Ferry are some of the most classic tracks out there. Major League - Wonder, Gouryella - Gouryella and Ligaya, Alibi - Eternity, Vimana - We Came...

In my mind it is his djing ability that sucks. Not to say he doesn't have the best records or that is programming is anything other than excellent, but, as far as his technicality goes, he sucks ass! I get so disappointed seeing "headliner" dj's miss beats all night and come in all abrupt on bass like Tiesto does. For the money he is getting he should mix a whole hell of a lot better.

In my mind Ferry and Armin are a lot better at mixing records. As far as production, they are all good, but sometimes Ferry can be a little too synthed out. I was glad to hear him change his style to a darker less high pitch sound, even though I love a lot of the classic tracks he has been involved in. It was definitely time for a change, and I respect him for making it.

ferry's mix is ok, but it can't be compared with the emotion delivered by tiesto's.
al azar mediocre remix shouldn't even be mentioned, what a disgrace for music.
what i like about tiesto's remix is that, as usually, he left the vocals intact but added so much emotion to the tune just as he did with southern sun or faithfulness.

you know shit if you think lethal industry is one of his best tracks. and tiesto had nothing to do with ligaya so get your facts straight. tiesto may not be technically excellent but he has something much more important, he sure knows how to select his tunes and drive a crowd; and that's why he's # 1, and will be # 1 for a long time

Posted by UWM on Aug-03-2004 23:56:

He's #1 because of blind clueless fans like you.

Quick, the flock's moving that way!

Dah hell, why does no one give love to the Dylan Rhymes Push Up Mix of it? I play that one instead. it is a much better version than the tiesto one.

Definitely true. The beats are pretty awesome and the remix is very well put together.
