Politcal Party Debate
First off I'd like to state I am posting this because I would like to gain some insight on the matter, I'm 17, and I swear to god if you want to flame my comments, grab a pen and paper, write down yours thoughts, and stick in your damn floppy drive pretending im going to get the message and actually give a damn.
I am trying to stay more up to date with politics because I personally think it is a good thing to have knowledge in. If you don't know what's going on in the world, how do you expect to have opinions over matters?
I am a bit confused at the moment on how anybody could possibily be a republican knowing some of their views. I have a family member who follows politics pretty well and actually and an internship of some sort to follow and campaign some things. From what I have learned, republicans first off give more tax cuts to the rich. I honestly don't understand why you would want to give more money to the rich than the normal and below normal working class. It doesn't make sense to give more to those that already have it and leave those that need behind.
The second idea is abortion. Now I suppose this is a personal/opinionated matter, but, I think we could all agree that abortion would be a great way to control the population. I personally am for abortion, and in all honesty, isn't this the whole strongpoint for republicans? They stick this idea out that they are ANTI abortion, yet they do absolutely nothing about it to stop it. They know that holding that idea out in the open (that they are anti abortion) will get them plenty of votes.
I would be glad to hear from anybody on either side, and please explain your thoughts. I am very open on any ideas, so as I said, have something not worth saying, shove in your damn floppy!
P.S. Does anybody have a good website to read up on political party views? I can't stand watching the sh!t on TV because networks aren't a neutral source, they can lean one way or the other making information false or misclaimed. I want a good neutral source or something from both parties.
i think on abortion, its not that they wont do anything about it, but they cant - they would need a majority in the supreme court that they dont have to change any laws about it now

If you call it tax-cuts, it's one thing, but if you call it tax-relief, it's quite the opposite. The rich pay a far higher percentage of the tax burden in this country. Sure, everyone wants to be sympathetic to the plight of the "poor", but that doesn't justify what essentially amounts to stealing and income redistribution/class warfare. Many of hte poor don't even pay taxes, rather they get an "Earned Tax Credit". Apparently they earn more money by sitting on their ass than they could by actually being a productive member of society.
