connect it on aux, gives you much more freedom to be creative like that.
use delay (3/4), often!
use delay in conjunction with zip!
use jet on hold, and make really suttle or really aggressive movements on the jog!
when mixing (especially in techno), have a delay on 2/1 on both channels, raise one fader, drop it, raise the other, drop it, repeat!
those are my fav tricks

On this topic, for other EFX users, I have mine for about a month, I was wondering how do you get the best sound output? 'Cos the manual says to put it just before the red light is lit, but if I do that on both Input and Effects Out Levels, weird stuff happens, such as holding jog wheel effects On and the track's volume decreases or the effect can be barely noticed. How do you have it configured? Hope I make sense with all this, I'm in a "non-english talking" day lol |
and the depth is set to where you want it before you do this..

I love my effector. At first, I thought all it did was flanger..one of the dopest effects. But, later on, you release you can acutally do some live looping (using echo) and so really nice fade outs as well as build ups. This machine has great possibilities for people who know how to use it properly. Just experiment with it!!

Another effect I love to do is apply delay to like the last 2 beats of a phrase but close the channel on the last one while still having delay pressed
I tested one of these out in the store and it was awesome.
I used to have a Pioneer DJM 600 mixer with the built in efx processor, and I must say that this blows it away. It gives you much more freedom to be creative.
A&H Xone 92 + this EFX pad = the ultimate combination.
I GOT IT TODAY!!!!! ...will post soon with update

wow this thing is really really cool... after 5 minutes of playing with it my roomate wanted to buy his own
question- i heard that you can use the echo function to sample... how do you do that? also the echo function keeps on going even after i swith the fx button off... is that normal?

damn I miss it so much
Hope you write a review about it in a few weeks
I'm thinking of getting either that or the Kaoss Pad 2...
get one!
^^ that would be my review.
re: sampling type effect.. its only really up to a maximum of 2730ms, which considering that when at 140bpm its about 1700ish, means that its only for a snippet of 4 beats. you don't need the depth to full if you only want to use the snippet once to swap bar for bar. but if you want it to recur for ages, wack it up!
remember the original/effect knob (i dont know why they didnt call it wet/dry like everything else) is your best friend
