My Setup

First off let me say hello! I'm new here to the forum. I've been browsing around this website for awhile now. I was waiting to post up when i got all my shit in. It all came a couple of days ago. Here's what i got so far for my first setup:

2 Technic 1210 MK5's in black
1 Pioneer DJM-600 in black
Ortofon needles (Night club ones)
Pioneer HDJ-1000 phones
Odyssey coffin

i also got some bookshelf speakers for right now. I'm getting a house this week, and then i'm gonna put in big speakers and such.
I think i did pretty well for my first setup. Looking forward to conversatin with all you guys. Peace.

its not a begginners setup, its a proffesional setup

i recently got my setup. i use to dj a few years back but now actually went out and bought my own stuff coz i really want to get back into it and had been collecting records for over a year..
so i decided to get

*Technics 1200 Mk 2's
*Denon DNX-1500

and am currently paying of (lol)

*Denon DNS3000

I currently got them setup on the floor, on the boxes as i havent got together a table etc. I was wondering if anyone knew a quick and simple way to connect the mixer to my comp (nothing to high tech to begin with)

Pretty hard to out do a beginners setup like that unless your loaded with cash, and even still, the only thing you can out do is the mixer... I win, I got a Xone:62.

i was not trying to imply that the equipment was begginer stuff, but i was under the impression that this was the first gear he had purchased.

Finally someone who actually reads the DJ Booth forums and bought excellent gear the first time around. Congrats dude you have a setup to be proud of and get a lot of enjoyment from.

I did the same thing, I didnt have to scout to know to get Techs, but I was scouting for about 6 months before I settled with my Xone:62, than I scouted another 4 months before I decided to get Shure M-44G's and HD-280's.

Mate good work. I see we have the same taste I did a lot of scouting, mostly to pass the time before I could afford my equipment. Saved for about the last 2 years and about 3 months ago I finally completed my setup which I bought one piece at a time and am about to finally pay off in a few days.

1 x Allen & Heath Xone:32

1 x Sennheiser HD280 Pro Silver
2 x Alesis M1 MK2 Active Monitors

Technics, A&H, Shure, Sennies,

Right now, the only scouting Im doing is whether I should get CDJ-800's or 1000's, I know they are basically identical except for a few upgrades which are really of no use.

I've finally assembled my setup:

2 x Technics SL-1200MK5 (second one just arrived today by FedEx )
1 x Behringer DJX-700
2 x Shure Whitelabels
1 x Sennheiser HD-280 (black)
2 x Alesis M1 Active MK2 monitors

Future upgrades will probably be to buy a case (or cases), upgrade the mixer (probably to an Allen & Heath of some sort--the electrical engineer in me wants to play around with the LFO and VCF ), then maybe add a CD turntable or vinyl emulation.

That sure is a nice first setup

Uhhhh, not to brag. Hahaha, give me a break. Anyways, that's a nice setup. 11 months.... Man, if I had that back at 11 months I would be tearing some shit up right now. Have fun with that setup.
