Ukta?

What's with www.uktranceaddict.com and it's only little world? I don't think that's right.

Posted by Flec on Aug-04-2004 22:33:

yea the ukta's have always been seperate, they always stuck in their own irc channel even

very lame in my opinion, but since i most likely wont be going there anytime soon, or be meeting any of them, i really dont care

I just think it's wrong to use the name and take off with it, even promote it the same way TA was back in 2001. MP3 sets with the url in the filename, just found one with www.uktranceaddict.com. They have their own site, their own message board, lame IMO. Did I mention the online store to buy UKTA shirts? Whether Swamper agrees with it or not (as flattering as I guess it is) it's not right.

ha!

Posted by St_Andrew on Aug-04-2004 22:47:

hehe, an own forum

damn english, we don't want them anyway...

Ill agree with tw1tch, fine let the English have a separate forum for the separate world and island they live on, BUT dont take the name. and really it sorta sounds dumb UKTA Tranceaddict????? Thats like saying United Kingdom Tranceaddict Tranceaddict. I dont know... not really that catchy.... I liked the ukta.tk site a lot more then that one.

KarateKid

those EU TA sects have always had a bit more autonomy it seems .. hav u ever seen the GTA (German TA) shirts? lookin spifyyyy...

Posted by goodnet on Aug-05-2004 04:07:

Well I don't agree with the use of the TA name for making a whole separate internet community (ESP when there is already a seemingly huge Europe forum on tranceaddict.com). Some people may not care about those from other parts of the world, but to me at least, part of the good & fun in TA's forums are the participations of people from different parts of the world. Having an entirely separate site for the UK with the tranceaddict name sort of detracts from that.

Special UKTA/whatever-your-region-TA shirts & merchandise are alright tho.. just promotes what country you're from & the TA name of course

they don't get to hang out with Del as much as we do so they fill a void in their hearts by separating.

Swamper could make a good case for trademark infringement

you really think that he hasn't made a deal with them already.

geez!

It is plain out wrong and against the Trademark law...

yeah well I bet they actually discuss real trance overthere and not the clubby garbage euro and techno house crap that dominates this enitre board. Since the UK is the best place for trance I bet they know their shit.(those of you who disagree, im sorry cause theres alot of amazing trance you are missing)

thanks for posting that link, im gonna go there right now.

I'm still a very loyal TA and though there is good quality trance topics here, there are some really poor ones too.
