so i have a general idea on how to hook up an external mixer with traktor, but I only have a three channel mixer... so is there some way i can get both channels from traktor and both of my turntables all controlled from my mixer? thanks

Hmm...how can you do that? I have one onboard sound card but I don't know how to make each deck come out seprate...that'd be sweet though. Should I open a new thread?

Oh and no help with that traktor stuff I have no clue what your talking about omega...

not all 4 at the same time.. fair enough.. so does that mean i have to do something with the phono/line switch or something? or would i straight up have to unplug the output from one and plug in the other one (when i wanna use the unused channel)

Ken_Allen, if i understand correctly you have to have two separate sound cards, one for master and one for monitor, or at least one sound card with two separate outputs (someone wanna correct me on this??)

actually, tracktor 2x doesnt support 2soundcards. but it does have the external mixer function
so wast u do is this: u get a left-right splitter (1/8``) in ur sound out in ur sound crad. then u hook uk up 2 y-rca cable (jack 2 rca) from the splitter to the mixer (each channel one cble)
and voila

just make sur u set up which deck in traktor u wanna assign to wat chan

sound will be mono though and make sure to out the swithc on line

That doesn't work....It leaks out through traktor...I just tried it with the right stuff and it comes out in the left and right speaker, along with the left speaker

so ur splitter is a stereo
if u have a stereo splitter u put both lefts in 1 chan and both rights in the other one

r u sure u put : external mixer function on traktor 2.xx?

Traktor supports 4 and 6 channel soundcards so you can do what i do:

Front out: ch1 of mixer
Rear out: Ch2 of mixer.
Center/sub: not connected

In this method you can still have stereo on each ch of your mixer.
