Cdj 1000 mk2 and funky house.

Hey ppl. first all thankyou to all the posters who gave me suggestions for track to spin for my first trance nite under the thread " Trance choons for club play to dance" or something like tht.

the clubs manager has signed me on for 8 weeks and Ive played two weeks already.. one every weeks.

He's now got the cdj 1000's mk2 and I was wonderin how do U cue the 1000 mk2 under cdj and vinly mode..

Im also asked to play some funky house tracks at the start of the nite for 2 hrs or so till ppl start walkin in...I'd like some funky house tunes sugesstions to help me out like junior jack -stupid disco and such for club play and groovy.

Im not listing the entire contecnts of my box tho. lol

There is also more known stuff like shapeshifters, and junior jack. If you want women on the dance floor (remember- women first, then the men follow) then you need strong bassline, and good vocal. Nothing too moody or dark either- keep it funkier and happier. If needed play it all well known stuff, ie,stardust,morales, spiller, modjo,moloko, bucketheads etc- clasic stuff.

It all depends on your crowd and you. My house taste will be different from yours, and my dance floor will invariably be different from yours- what with it being another continent and all.

you can cue with a cdj1000 just as easy as with vinyl. (in vinyl mode)

just let it play, hold the platter to find the first beat, and let go when it matches . i never use the cdj mode
