Worm Popper

To everyone who is curious about PVD's New Mix Album:

I posted a thread in regards to Van Dyk featured in Mixer Magazine October issue. Within this thread, i also list some of the "possible" tracks Van Dyk will include in the album...for additional info on Van Dyk's album, just check out that thread, but as a summary, here are some tracks that are "most probably" gonna be on the double cd:

1. Underworld-Born Slippy (PVD mix)
2. Joker Jam-Innocence (PVD mix)
3. Second Sun-Empire (Original and PVD mix)
4. Paul Van Dyk-My World (2001 mix)
5. Nu-Nrg-Dreamland
6. Zipping Zoma-So Alive (PVD mix)
7. Guardians of the Earth-Star Children
8. Paul Van Dyk-Vega (Special Vocal Mix)

*** He is also going to be releasing a new EP at the beginning of October...at least, according to my sources at Mixer***

Born Slippy? Nah, he was spinning that back in July of 2000.
What about 4 Strings-Into Daytime or Signum-In Progress?
I would LOVE to see him put Solid Sleep-Club Attack and Viframa-Cristalle on it...those songs are very hard to find.

When I interviewed PvD a while back he mentioned about this album. I'll find the comment he made. The full interviews on http://www.pcmusic.co.za

Bingo !!

Q (PC Music): You've worked with the best of the best, collaborated with so many artists, now remixed U2 and been all over the world, so what's next for Paul van Dyk?

A (Paul van Dyk): Enjoy what I am doing basically. The next thing is going to be this EP, which is obviously sort of different thing. There are no radio mixes, no videos, nothing which is accessible to a pop market. It's all banging club tunes and this is what the next thing is. Then I'm preparing this DJ mix CD, but it's a different concept of it. It's a merge between a DJ mix CD, an artist album and a remix album. As an example if there is a track which I really really like, but it doesn't fit from the way it is, I just remix it so it fits perfectly, so that's the whole approach on to that CD. It's a lot of work, which is why I'm doing it now and this is supposed to come out, sort of October.

Hope this answers things. Straight from the Horses Mouth (as it were).

I don't see what the big deal is about this new PVD mix CD? I know he doesn't make mix CD's, but there is nothing most of us don't already have on there.

It's true that most of us have all these tracks , but i still think it's a good CD , the tunes are all wicked and i really like it to see them all mixed . Can't wait for it to be released in the nearest CD store

Posted by arturob on Sep-23-2001 03:21:

hehehe i will own this piece of gold.

HappyHappy

Just to clarify some things:

Van Dyk indeed did do a remix of Joker Jam-Innocence as well as Zipping Zoma-So Alive..he himself states it in October issue of Mixer magazine..and the big deal about this album is that even though most of the tracks will not be his own full productions, you know he will bring the intensity all of us yearn and love through his careful remakes and transitions from track-to-track.
