Talking Tracks by popular producers that would not be released if they were 1st track.

I was just wondering what are some tracks by big artists that would not be released/signed if the artist had not been already popular, or they came on a CD with other good tracks. Basically if they were unheard of artist and they sent the track to a label.

I think every track on nu nrg "free fall" except free fall, the first track and dreamland falls into this category.

What do you think?

that tiesto tune with BT with vocals.

forgot the name, but it's such a crap production.

mite sound killer in a club with ugly to loud vocals, but it is still crap

Are you talking about Force of Gravity? I like that track, or, at least, don't hate it. There are definitely some newer BT tracks that could have been left off the new album.

Nope, Love Comes Again.

Yeah. That track is pretty sorry.

Traffic. Horrid by itself, it would never have gotten a release if a no-name had made it.

Most new tiesto tracks wouldn't get released if he wasn't tiesto..

Hmm, it was pretty obvious that Traffic was supposed to be Flight 643 part II and while I still think 643 was better, I thought Traffic was a stormer too. Same thing with Love Comes Again. Vocals are a little eh, but the track itself was solid. To each his own I guess.

i dunno about u guys but when i first heard traffic i really liked it

regardless of who produced it, i would still love the track

Posted by Floorfiller on Aug-06-2004 11:49:

i think that these tunes would most likely still be released in some way. i just don't think they would've been such big hits if they were by no names...

i think this is complete bs! i mean come one! if you don't like the tracks, ok, but are you really saying they're so badly done they wouldn't be released if tisto was some noname guy?!?! i really gotta disagree on this one. unnecessary tisto bashing once again IMO!

Traffic pwns. If you disagree you can go run against oncoming traffic with your genitalia exposed.

Armin - Sunburn although it is an excellent track, this would never see the day if it wasnt Armin van Buuren`s track..

Posted by eulerfx on Aug-06-2004 17:31:

How about DJ Tiesto - The Tube. I really like most of Tiesto's work, but that is just messed up...

Posted by Tranceguy1 on Aug-06-2004 17:39:

Any of Digweed's tracks after Heaven Scent.....

You realise it's from 1996, don't you?

Traffic sounds good in a club on a loud speaker when ur fucked

Hmmmmmm there are many tracks that were the popular "first of their kind" and imitated much later. If the chronological order had been messed up, who could say what would have happened but this is definitely an interesting question which makes me think of that movie, Back to the Future.

For example, on a tangent in an alternate reality, if Armin Van Buuren and DJ Tiesto had formed what would be this universe's equivalent to the Gouryella project, leaving Ferry Corsten out of it, there might be no such thing as "Ligaya". And the other singles would sound quite different and I don't know if they would be received the same way. Maybe the piercing leads of "Blue Fear" would dominate as much as those supersaw leads. Who knows?

But on this earth, as for tracks that have major name recognition behind them, something like Prodigy's new album comes to mind. It's dirty, it's raw, it's back to beats -- but would it be released if Liam Howlett didn't have so much of a reputation? In the trance arena, I'm not going to come after anyone specifically. There are a number of big DJs who are dominators of the dancefloor, yet I do not enjoy most of the production on their artist (not mix) albums, with the exception of some singles. It's kind of like they have a few AWESOME tracks which stand out, and then the rest kind of pads out in between... or "filler" which could be interchanged with X or Y or even Z generic trance track with no or few distinguishing features. On the whole, it just doesn't move me and make me react.

Yeah, pretty tripped out, I know.

Who ever you saw that was spinning it must have had it pitched down.. Cuz I drop it alot, usually in combination with Marcel Woods - Time is Running out... and I HAVE to play that track at about 5-6%... which increases the speed of Traffic... and it NOT slow...
