Do you know what sheets are for?

Just to educate some of you youngins.

Sheets are required when you sleep on a bed or a couch. You don't want to keep having to clean your actual bed or couch so the sheet is a easy way to quickly keep your sleeping area clean. It's not there to bug you or not for your mom to have the bed look pretty.

I'm saying this because it really grosses me out and someone that just moved into our house but has not set up his bed is sleeping on my futon which is in his room since I haven't moved all my stuff out. I wasn't even asked if he could use the futon but he is using it anyway for sleeping in every night. But he has not brought his own sheets or asked for mine and I just noticed that today. He also used my comforter without the comforter cover since I was just storing it under the bed for a couple days too. So now I have to make it uncomfortable and tell him to use a sheet but seriously he should already know that.

So now, I'm going to have an unclean futon and unclean comforter (not visibly dirt but in my mind). How fair is that.

So please, if you have anyone sleeping over at your place please offer them a sheet. And if someone offers you a sheet, use it!

futon - a couch that folds out into a bed.

not if it builds up over time.

i'm not that clean obsessed but some things just gross me out, and not using sheets on a bed is gross.

and what if not just sweat get's on. like snots or other body fluids.

Ahhh! "Futon" is the girls' name for it; us blokes call it "bed-couch", "couch-bed" or "foldy bed thing".

maybe it's just the giant gap called the atlantic ocean that separates us. everyone here knows what a futon is.

Wait, even this is different in north america?

THIS is a futon here in Brazil... and that thing you showed us is a couch-bed aswell Now you're going to tell me you guys don't use kilometers to measure speed, celsius to measure temperature and you put the day between the month and the year when writing dates? j/k, but these things are illogical to us outside north america.

There is nothing like a few love stains to give a piece of furniture some real character.

I don't know, but personally, even though I do clean my bed afterwards, I love my sweaty smell in the morning.

It's sweet and acid.... like a good lemonade

no, no. see, i'm moving out next month and this guy is just replacing me. i want him to stay because I hate that place and want to move out. he has his own bed in the basement until i move since i have no place to put my stuff for the month.

i figured he would have sheets he uses.

but this morning i snuck in and put sheets on the bed. i hope that he will keep them on there and not take them off.

the retarded thing is, the sheets for that "couch-bed" were right in the closet of that room so he could have easily grabbed them and put them on.

BOYS are dirty!

you should hav told him... now he isnt going to understand why the sheets are there...

but anyway, i do agree with you that cleanliness where you sleep is important.

i will tell him, never got a chance last night and he slept like that again so i wanted to avoid that tonight. next time i see him i will tell him.

Posted by NiteMer on Aug-06-2004 20:33:

It is appropriate to ask for sheets or use them on other people's shit, but don't be too anal. If you didn't mention it, the person probably didn't think about it. Not everyone has the same mind set. Let him/her know that you would prefer if they used a sheet.

warning: didn't read entire thread

i think that its pretty gross that some smelly ass is stinking up your bed. you gotta have some sheets there to keep his stank ass off it. he's lucky that you're letting him use it in the first place...

Posted by Michael19 on Aug-06-2004 20:52:

yea, do give him sheets cos he needs something to wank into.
