Worse than having a chemical/hormonal balance (which can lead to depression) is to counter-attack it with more chemistry. Sounds bizarre, but it's often the truth.

LOL - isn't it obvious that people who take anti-depressants are more likly to commit suicide than those who don't take? They do it because of the depression not because of the drugs.

no, compared to older adults who take em.

so its depressed under 25ers against depressed over 25ers.

Hmm, I'd say a person's view of life is quite well formed at 25 years. So if you didn't do it until you're 25 then you are less likely to do it in the future. I have a hard time believing that the brain reacts so differently to anti-depressants at let's say 30 than it does at 20.
