Clubs Make Me Change DJ Name?

Ran into a weird problem. I got a couple gigs coming up at different clubs but every club owner gives me a hard time with my DJ name. They say I should change it and it sounds too 80s. Everyone around here knows me by DJ Oxygen I know its not the greatest name but it grew on me and it has some meaning to me. All my tracks , mixes , email, AIM SN would have to be changed and the numerous accounts everywhere. I tried thinking of a new name but everything sounds either the same "80s style" or just plain stupid. I think my name is rather unique. There are a lot of DJs like Johnny , Vortex , Boost ,Lake , Turbine that spin around here and I dont see how these names differ from mine. What the f***? am I just going nuts here over nothing?

It really shouldn't matter, when I did university parties, and the DJ asked my name, I didn't have one so I said, mother****** or something like that, I didn't care aslong as I DJed, if you wanns go with something else, go with your first name with your initial, or soem shit, thats what I do now just to make it easy.

It's a cool name, far from unique though... there were two DJs in colorado named oxygen when i was there last... they might have multiplied since I've been there...

I find all DJ names beginning with DJ is kinda ugly. I mean, its quite obvious that your a DJ if your booked for a DJ gig.

Seriously, you're at least the 10th DJ I know to call yourself that. Just use your real name, it sounds much more professional than silly monikers.
