Play an instrument?

Just curious what everyone plays if anything hah. Personally I play the drums (single bass mostly, but I have a double bass), and am teaching my self how to play the guitar.

I play synths, and Flamenco guitar. I prefer synths though, cause as you may know, Flamenco guitar is F#*king HARD. good for the ladies though, as long as you can play some good stuff. unless they are stupid girls, then they will dig you playing otmar leibert crap

haha word to that

the finger picking involved in Flamenco is so complex, my classical teacher, Mr. Yip, can play guitar and make it sound like 8 guitars playing at the same time. it's phenominal.

I play sax, I want to quit, but everyone tells me I am too good to quit. So I don't practice and I am still good and I still can't quit, lol.

i used to play saxophone, but i probably couldn't do much with it besides hit you in the face.

i always wanted to play piano though

i never played anything, maybe it's something i should do someday, so i can understand those freaking chords.

Guitar and keyboard here.

i can find my way around the guitar ok, but im not half as well practised as i would like to be.

one thing i have noticed, which is one of those things that bugs me, is when people compare mixing on turntables to playing a musical instrument.

mixing two records togeter is quite easy with a bit of practise.

being able to play paranoid android (which i cant) on the guitar is another thing entirely.

id like to see Tiesto 'in concert(lol)' bang out a rendition of Coldplay 'Clocks' on a piano in the middle of his set.

THAT i would pay to see!!!

i playaed the Cello when i was 11...

I've played two instruments, the clarinet and the tenor sax. I started in 4th grade and quit after my junior year in high school. I always preferred the sax over the clarinet, especially for jazz band purposes. The clarinet was used in concert band and wind ensemble.

Now, since I dj, I consider my turntables as my instruments and each record is the sheet music. And all my technical dj skills I like to consider as the technical aspect of mastering a band instrument.

If I would ever get into production, I'd bust out the sax again and use it to make some wicked deep house tracks.
