Love Poundin' Sensation Lolo - Why

L-vee /Airwave does it again, pumping groovy melodic trance with cleverly worked flanger effects.

A anthem in the making, 3am in a club proper trance music.

Top tunage imo

even the sun got dark spots eh

and seeing your profile holds alex morph and scot project as favourite producers .. then i guess you're kinda new to trance, or am i wrong?

I don't really like this one, didn't move me in any way...

Posted by EverZ on Aug-06-2004 22:16:

The first time i heard this i inmediatly thought, this sounds like another song i know, but i couldn't remember what is was, but it's Xpander ofcourse. The main melody is the same.

Posted by noikeee on Aug-06-2004 22:24:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 20 months is not new.

I'm really beginning to hate your attitude, Matt. Even if you don't like a production, that should give you no right to ridicule artists the way you do. What are you, 13? I mean, come on - these guys seriously put everything they have into their works -- and for you to utterly disrespect them the way you do is just plain wrong. L-vee is a great producer not because he makes anthemic trance songs... but because he puts in great amounts of emotion into his work (something that is clearly missing from the scene today.) He doesn't just make trance / progressive / whatever kind of music.. he makes music that touches people's heart and soul.

I'm not here to preach to you.. nor change your views on anything. All I'm asking is for you to be more respectful to the people that deliver the music you enjoy.

i think this was directed to me

well, those artists are kinda cheesy, easy-listened and easy to the ears which makes em good for beginners. but they lack soul in their music. maybe they'll do a nice track now and then but nothing comes close to what airwave delivers.

damn i don't like hearing about rip offs of Xpander...but i'll check this out anyh00t

Who gives a shit if he ripped-off "Expander?" People sample everything these days. If I were Sasha, I would be honoured to have people sample my music. As long as "the Veester" does a good job with it.. that's all that counts, no?

No.
Taking influences is one thing but ripping off is never acceptable unless credit is given where credit is due.

I haven't heard this particular track so I have no idea what kind of rippage we're talking about here but a ripoff is always a ripoff, regardless of who did it. Just because it's some big name doesn't make it all right.

Ok I just heard this track...and let's get one thing straight. If he "sampled" Xpander I wouldn't really care. But the whole beat, structure and timing of this track is a poor reconstruction of Xpander. That is a "rip off." Dont get me wrong. Laurent is one of my favorite producers. When Things Go Wrong is in my top 3 all time favorite trance tunes. But I would expect so much more from someone of his caliber. And to rip off Xpander, which has been done before, is quite amateurish for someone who's been around long enough to know better.

Some people just never learn, do they? You'll learn, one day. In a year from now.. you'll say to yourself: "What the hell was I thinking listening to this shit?" And then you'll say: "Refuge, Mystery, Ian^, and all those guys were right.. I was a n00b!" And on a side note.. I may be a HUGE Bonzai-freak.. but I do give impartial, unbiased reviews. And once I listen to this track.. I will do just that.

Late...

dude come up for air off's L-vee's jock. your missing the boat. No one here is saying that Laurent sucks. In fact it's the opposite. But we're just saying this tune is quite sad considering what he's done in the past. It has none of the signature Airwave/Lolo feel to it...it feels like it should be on GU 013...oh wait it was

Matt....
How much bashing is it going to take to get the message into that thick head of yours.
I flamed you in the A&B thread and now this...
If you have any shame or common sense then I suppose you'll understand..
Refuge talks very seriously about the music he listens to because he is very passionate about it and feels very strongly about it. This is because he respects the artists/producers who have put their utmost effort into crafting a tune which they can only hope and pray that people like us will enjoy. He also understands that no artist is perfect and sometimes fails to meet expectations.Regardless of these ups and downs, the producer is still to be respected for the sole effort and passion.
Unfortunately, you have failed to understand any of this. I had thought that you might have understood something after my previous post but I think it proved to be pointless.

personally I've loved this song forever. As a matter of fact I made a mix with this tune in it as well and got some positive feedback from it. I think it's a great tune! BTW if you want to download the mix by all means please feel free:

I can't listen to this, SO much like Xpander it's unbelievable! If this was labeled Sasha - Xpander (Airwave remix) I'd be damn sure was no typing error

Oh and for the first time ever I agree with Mattsanity. What's wrong with Alex Morph really? I don't think there's anything cheesy about his tunes.
Alex Morph - Creatures (Arc in the Sky mix), Ozone - Rock (Alex Morph remix) and Scirocco - Scirocco (Alex Morph mix) all kick ass.

Posted by Plastick on Aug-07-2004 07:44:

So agreed with people saying this sounds really like xpander. When i listen to this, xpander is on my mind.

yeah, sure, but when l-vee ripped of xpander in mysteries of life, no one actuall cared because frankly mysteries of life was a great tune, but when you rip the same tune for the second time, then you really start to question stuff, i mean i like many of l-vee's productions, but this is just redicolous
