Of course, this is a non-issue. Everybody slips up. But the Bush haters jump at everything he says, because of something i've brought up before: BDS, Bush Derangement Syndrome, an irrational personal hatred of the man that causes people to cease considering issues rationally.

Also, nice how the media ran with this one. Oh wait, nobody reported it! What liberal bias? Who knew?

I wish people would stop using every Bush mis-speak as conclusive evidence of Bush's allegedly stupidity, cause it obviously proves nothing.

yea all political speakers make their mistakes and promises

but yeah on another point special forces cant just be doubled. with the 70% washout rate in everything (rangers, green B, seals, f.recon, pararescue, combat comtrol) its hard to do. not to mention that theyre all volunteer!

what we need to do is use special ops forces from other countries
lots to learn from others

Still waiting for the anti-Bush crowd who use every mis-speak to attempt to justify their claim that Bush is a moron to either:

the funniest thing with bush's misstake wasn't really that he misspoke, but the irony in what he said...

and to be honest, this wasn't as grave misspoke... but yeah, kerry kinda sucks too

I see nothing wrong with this quote, Kerry is simply admiting that the US will be acting as it normaly does

A friend of mine has a whole poster with Bushisms. Bushisms have inspired countless t-shirts, mugs, cards, comedy skits, jokes, drink coasters, fridge magnets etc. etc...

So to even BEGIN to try to put Kerry on par with Bush's idiocy is an exercise in futility. Its not anti-Bush to think he is stupid. He just is.

yeah but Kerry has just begun to speak, give it a few months.

Anyway getting this thread back on topic, I believe Israel should expell Arafat as soon as possible and retake security control of all the areas under the control of the PLO.

Build 500ft tall walls surrounding the PA-controlled areas. If a missle comes over, blow up a village. They need to kill somebody, might as well have them fight eachother rather than shoot at Israelis. Israel is pretty good at individualized vengeance (like a few weeks ago when they iced the animal who was previously seen parading around body parts of a slain soldier), but this small scale retribution isn't such an effective detterent, only justice.
