How to record from radio?

How can I record music from my radio with my computer?
(Armin van Buuren is performing live on the radio over one hour!!)
I linked the radio into my soundcard's microphone plug, but all I can record is nothing but rustle. I used my standard windows audio recorder, should I use other software, or are my settings wrong?
This thread has probably been posted before, my excuses if that's true.

Doesn't your soundcard have a line in?
anyways i think the mic in should work too

check your windows mixer settings, see if the mic/line input isn't muted and if it records the "mix" or mic/line

Thanks for your help Pjotr, I was (stupidly!!!) using the wrong plug indeed, I had to use line in but I was using the microphone plug, wich made the input too strong. There's a little rustle in it now, but I think I can remove that by changing the volume.
