Far Cry!!!
this game has me playing for hours....such a great game..and the graphics to die for.....
here some are wicked screenshots i took thru some of the levels...

I wasn't really fond on the Multiplayer of Far cry. Other than that it was a nice game to play.
Havent played it myself but im lovin the sky effects. Realy nice...
I've played fc through 2 times, and it still rocks
, waaay better than doom3!
I recently finished the game and it was worth the time I put into it. The graphics on my computer caused a bit of problems at the start but after some tweaking, it ran without any problems. I haven't tried multiplayer though..
I can't get it to work properly
I never beat the game but I got to the last room of the game where you have to kill all those trigens and snipers and then I just quit because I couldn't beat it.
I thought the game was excellent, nice mix of weapons, and interactive things like hanggliding, sneaking, swimming, using boats, etc. Had a bit of everything. Comparing it to doom though isn't really fair as doom is a very pure shooter and far cry was more of a fps war sim more in the same level of Front Line Assault and Vietcong.
I'd say the exteriors are the best i've seen, I'd really like to see what the doom3 and unreal3 engines can do with a realistic exterior environment since so far all we have seen are dark mechanical interiors.
It was a fun single player experience. I played it non-stop, night and day, until I beat it. It was incredibly long but I enjoyed every minute of it. Haven't touched it since I beat it...
i completed it on harest setting. so nothing to do in it anymore
was a damn good game tho. very half lify which i liked alot. i just loved the feel of the weapons.
Looking good, I def. have to try this one..
I'm just worried about one thing, with those graphics, does it run smooth on older rigs??
It runs ok on older PCs (well maybe a PC that is a couple years old). The problem is that when you turn down the options you really really lose the visual impact of the game because it removes things like birds, foilage, animals in the forest, fish, transparent water and waves at beach, certain other effects, blood in the water. So its definetely playable just don't expect it to look quite as good as the screenshots with an older PC. I thought it looked great on mine until i saw screenshots of it from a better pc.
I had to set to medium settings at 1024x768 with no AA on my AMD 2600+, 1GB PC2700 ram, GF4TI42100 card. I'm pretty sure the video card was holding me back.
It's pretty fun but nothing spectacular. The retarded AI really spoils this game for me.
okay that sound pretty comparable to Halo and the likes..
But since its a fairly recent game with most probably a newer engine, and 3d games are the most demanding on a performance point of view, I am still doubtfull. I have a P3 512 mg RAM with Ge Force4 128 mg... was top notch a year and a half ago... not so sure about right now, but I still run a lot of recent games at full resolutions and get decent results.. Except maybe for shooters, where I have to lower it down a notch like to a mid-quality resolution to run it smooth
Well best way to find out is to try it
The game looks awesome and I have yet to play it!
i've been playing it untill those green monsters started showing up(what a rip off from Resident evil btw)i just lost intrest because it started as a realistic game
It's a good game.. if your bored and want some good eyecandy. I thought the gameplay started to fade a bit after the first few missions.
Its actually a pretty fun game to play and the visuals are pretty sweet. True it does kind of lose its edge after the first few missions, but I liked to play it all the way through on hardest setting.
