i burn alot of stuff off the pc. mp3s, mpeg, vcd, quicktime vids, jpegs.

just wanted to put lots of different stuff on a cd, throw it in a dvd player and not hav eto worry about having the discs just be one type of file and have it many types and will let me play all of them. i know the common ones are jpegs and mp3s. now what about mpegs? so far i have an old apex one that does the job good but wanting to get something new and better.

Is your player supposed to handle svcd /vcd and Div-x ?

svcd = Mpg 2
vcd = Mpg 1
divx = Mpg 4

You can just convert them though, if you dont have a divx player. (divx = .avi files)
Is DVD A something you want?

Buy the Pioneer 470, I think thats a good player.

DivX DVD player that plays everything you can throw at it and plays xvids as well.
Cheap too. $99 here in canada.

Hard to get them tho lately, seems to be sold out everywhere due to high demand.

i have apex 1200

plays svcd, kvcd, vcd, burned dvds
payed about $40 for it

other models 1100 and 1010 are also good

if I had the money I would go for a divX player
