was just reading to see how much we'd had & found this on the met office page

REGIONAL FLASH WARNINGS OF SEVERE WEATHER

These warnings are issued when severe weather is expected to cause disruption to traffic etc. over the next few hours.

Heavy Rain
Affecting Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Stoke-On-Trent & Telford And Wrekin
Heavy, locally torrential rain, will continue across the region through today. Upwards of 75mm has already fallen in many parts over the last 24 hours or so and a further 40mm is likely in places over the next few hours with further swelling of rivers and streams. This will give and increased risk of flooding in places. People engaged in outdoor activities, such as camping, are advised to take extra care. Dangerous conditions are expected on the roads with much reduced visibility due to heavy rain and spray.

so like nearly 12cm in a day..... this is fucking crazy

Heh, I think there might be two ex-hurricanes headed our way. So if you're in an area that floods easily, I suggest you think about moving to higher ground.

I dont think I have seen Sun since I moved here. I heard back where I lived they had two hurricanes so I guess I shouldnt be complaining. Plus England so far is much better than the States in my opinion.
