DJ's Playing the same old stuff!

People on this board have been harping on DJs so bad for playing the same tunes, over and over.

SO WHAT?

Remember people they are playing for the crowd, not the person sitting at home downloading their live sets! They tour different areas, which means they are playing for a different crowd pretty much everytime they play.

what does that mean? the crowd hasnt heard these songs before, unless they downloaded a recent mix, or another dj has been playing the same songs.

its damn hard for them to find songs which fit their style, let alone are good. Plus a lot of DJs are focusing on playing their own remixes/re-edits, which means more limited material selection.

be thankful DJs are allowing sets to be broadcast. Stop hating!

that is a really good point. i think what some people are getting at though is that some some dj's play the same stuff over and over again to the same people.

but how often are 'top 10' Djs in the same area within a year? excluding ibiza ofcourse

the people who complain about DJ's playing the same tracks gig after gig are the same people who download/rip every liveset and never attend the parties...

quite a double-edge sword -_-

even then tho there are only so many records that are good/new in a dj's colection. its dificult to get a whole set worth of new/good records each week.
