My dumb parents.

[flame on]
can you tell me something... explain why my parents are completely retarded... i told my dad that i will call his insurance company and sort out his crap today... would you think it would make a difference to them when i do it as long as i do it... of course it does, so my mom comes barging in my room and is like your gonna call now, im like, no ill wait for you to leave when i call... now her and my dad are cursing me out cause i want to call them in 30 mins instead of now... this is the kind of family i live with.

instead of saying, ok, just get it done they yell it me because i dont do it when they want... all i have to say is... FUCK THEM AND THE BOAT THEY RODE IN ON!
[flame off]

Posted by BloodfIower on Aug-10-2004 18:20:

well the only thing i see to fix that:

move out!!!

fuck em!! fuck em deeper n harder than ever before!

i did, and u will see that ur parents will cry after you after they mentioned what it is to be without ur help n such!!!

Posted by keithos27 on Aug-10-2004 18:24:

maybe i have very understanding parents, but you should just speak to them in a calm manner and both respect eachother's opinions/ideas. if you are doing them a favor, then they shouldn't complain to you when you do it during the day. just speak to eachother like grown adults and you'll usually find an understanding....

i don't know if fucking your parents deeper and harder than ever before is the answer... just my .02.

Than they will just call me and tell me to do it. They do it to my sister all the time and she is 35.

Seriously, parents just don't understand, especially ones that aren't originally from the U.S. They need to learn to adapt to the American lifestyle. Both my parents are from Vietnam and they were strict as hell. My dad would always yell and bitch me out. One day, I packed up my shit and left home. They freaked out, called all my friends and went out looking for me. I finally called home and told them they need to change their ways or i'm out. You just gotta threaten them a little. Now, they're cooler than ever and they somewhat understand what it's like to be a kid in America. Man, this post makes me wanna call me dad and yell "you GOT SERVED POPS". haha we have the best relationship now

Posted by Vlad on Aug-10-2004 18:32:

The funny thing is... before they know it, I wont be living with them and I will have my own roof and my own life. If only I can find a job that pays well enough to do that.

whats so bad about calling now? Just cuz u dont want to???

Posted by Greedy on Aug-10-2004 18:37:

if i had a kid like that they'd get the boot for sure. Dont need no unruly kids in my house.

When I lived at home....me and my Moms never got along. Shes a neb shit and was always up in my stuff....looking through my shit....trying to bust me doing stuff. But I was always smarter than her and got away with it. Now she does the same shit to my little brother but hes a dumb ass and always gets caught. lol. But not that Ive lived on my own for 5 years....me and my Moms get along great. Moving away will solve most problems between kids then their parents.....plus it great to get away from all the bitching.

Its just the principle... why do I have to call when THEY want me to, whats the difference if I call in 20 mins or now. When they do stupid things like that, I do things like this on purpose just to piss them off. They lack every piece of common sense that a person should have. And I did call, right after my mom left.

Posted by ludawg23 on Aug-10-2004 18:42:

It's true, when I moved out of my parents house and went to college, it was PERFECT. I could do whatever I wanted, school being my priority of course. I honestly cannot picture myself ever moving back in with them, even when I graduate next year, I'd turn crazy for sure.

well, i guess we live in different families. If I dont like living there, i get the hell out or get the boot anyway. If I cant support myself and need to live with the rents, i shut the fuck up and do whatever. As their son, my job isnt to test them, but to help them out. I can see ur point to a certain level, but this is kinda petty. Just call and get it over with.

Posted by euphoria on Aug-10-2004 18:52:

oh yes. I can relate. That is why I moved out at the ripe age of 19. When they want it dont its NOW. Everything MUST be done immediatly when they tell you. I have never given them a reson to think I would stack off on something important but its irrelevant to them. Also even after I do what they say its still wrong. Do you wanna know why its wrong? Its wrong because it wasnt done by them so they they nit pick over how it was done. Just fuck off and do it urself then thats my attitude on that. My father is worse than my mom. He will actually stand there and watch you do whatever it and back seat drive along the way. I think its about the same for all old fashioned Euro parents.

Posted by toxa on Aug-10-2004 18:58:

in those situations i reason it out this way...when I ask my parents to have something done they actually do it 90% of the time as soon as they physically can, so I guess I owe them the same.
I realize this a lot only after the storm has passed...

This is where we differ... Im not gonna be their fucking slave... maybe they should tell me when to piss, shit, breathe and blink too? If I say Im gonna do it, you should have enough trust in me... as your son... to take care of it.

Posted by LinX on Aug-10-2004 19:36:

did you call them yet!!

lol im jk... fuck'em do what you want and if they dont like it, murder them.

yups...it seems like distance made the relationship between me and my parents more tolerable and i was able to even be friendly with them. even after college, i moved in my own apt...but i had to move back two years ago cuz of the situation wid my ex, and now its BACK to them tell me what i can and cant do -- and even imposing a curfew on me...after 8+ years of being out of the house? i DON'T think so...

neways my $.02 is that just because they are your parents it def doesnt mean you have to do things THEIR way. seriously. We as individuals have our own ways of doing things...now if vlad just plain refused to call cuz of laziness or something, thats another story. but he had every intention of doing so. Some parents just totally underestimate and undermine their kids and think its their right to butt into their business every waking moment of their day. Is it any wonder that most kids are like, When i grow up, Im going to be totally different from them?

Fo realz GRRRR

now then...kekek cant u ppl tell i have a totally *healthy* relationship wid my parents
