skimboarding
i've been going to the beach alot and skimboarding lately, I don't really wipe out anymore just riding it on the sand, but i'm still learning the basics and trying to move up and learn some simple beginning tricks.
My balance is for shit so I'd probably make a fool out of myself
ah this is so cool. i always take our board down the beach when i go.
i dont know any tricks, except go on feet, knees, and can do 180degree turn but thats it... just make sure theres enough water under the board. otherwise is grips on the sand real quick and u will go flying and make a fool of ur self...
what kind of board do you use? i only have beginner wood one from victoria. But it's a bit small for me so i'm looking to upgrade to a larger one, hehe get more speed.
i love skimboarding. i'm not that good but i can hang on

i would also make an ass of myself hehehe. i just don't see that whole running and jumping on it thing going very well for me
anyone kite board? i do when ever i go to oregon

I always hated skimmers
lol
skim boarding is great fun, but you cannot take yourself too seriously cos it has great potential to make you look stupid. Also make sure you don't do it too close to other people. Wiping out and taking others with you ris not good.

but your right, shallower water is better for distance.
