Breeder - New York FM (Van Bellen Remix)

I'm sitting here at 1 AM and I can't stop thinking how fucking cool this song is. This is why I listen to electronica.

Any other lovers out there?

Wait till 4, then play the original.
Then tell me how fucking cool the song is

I prefer Van Bellen and Tilt mixes instead the original and not a fan of Sander Kleinenberg mix either.

Van Bellen remix is one of my fav tracks. I love the moodyness and how it slowly builds up.

Van Bellen is the master of the slow build ups

lovely remix indeed.. great rollin bassline on this one and adds somethin to the original that i dont think Breeder even thought this song could go into. it takes it in a comepletely different direction..

I also love this track. It's a great example of why I think nothing has seriously rivaled the golden progressive trance of 1999-2000. Hopefully the sound will get revived one of these days.

I'm not sure as the latest production i remember from him is the collaboration with Greed, "City Lights" which is from late 2003. I can't recall anything from this year..

Van Bellen is great. Has anyone heard his Dub mix of Sugarglider - Slow Motion? sooo good.

both the Chab and Matthew Dekay remixes are wicked...haven't heard teh original, which im sure is probabbly wicked as well...usually anything to do with Greed comes out to be good

The original is laidback and seems very Van Bellen-influenced whereas the Greed edit takes it deeper and more tribally. Both interesting mixes although nowhere near as anthemic as the Chab and Dekay reworks.

upon hearing the reworks i was immediately convinced it would be hard to outshine them.

My favourite is the Tilt remix, atlhough I like Van Bellen's also and both are so different that they can easily stand out on their own rather than as remixes of the same track.

aloep...you don't post enough anymore

not that there is usually a reason to post...

Heh, I'm still browsing around here, just haven't really found many topics that interest me as of late. I recently got Electroset - Sensation on vinyl with Tin Tin Out and Shaker mixes from 1995 and The Shaker - Star with Canyon Remix by Chris Cowie, all are really good. Which reminds me to update my collection log, which I haven't done in ages.
