Eh..

Just realised theres only 1 trance tune that i liked this year. That was tiesto's remix of adagio for strings.

Is trance dying or have i simply changed my tastes?

Posted by mndeg on Aug-11-2004 13:23:

clearly you need to listen to more songs

dont use crappy p2ps like beareshare or something like that to find bad mainstream tracks

there have been plenty of good songs this year
i suggest listening to EVERY song that is suggested on cd review and these music forums

its not like tiesto mix of adagio of strings is specialized taste or anything

Posted by bruddahmanmatt on Aug-11-2004 13:26:

Indeed. Too many to list. Sander Van Doorn ranks up there right now in my head.

LoL..i dont use bearshare.

I use something called the hub..and not to mention soul____.

I've tried liking some of the new tunes but they just wont grow on me.

All i've been listening to are prog tunes.(which i'm quickly getting bored of)AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

It seems trance has been dying since 2001, if you read the topics.

Indeed, yet we still keep beating this dead horse...

Posted by her throat cut on Aug-12-2004 01:08:

from what i heard, the comercial dance music is compleatly dead.
such shame.

in trance as whole, i have heard only one good trance and that was by Lost Witness.
they released one cool single month ago.

others, just the same common tarts!

Posted by starlabs on Aug-12-2004 01:09:

LOL... first time I've heard progressive is dead.

I'm sure these people would all agree with that:

Nikola Gala
Matthew Dekay
Ozgur Can
Likwit
Elusive
Rouzbeh Delavari
Probspot
...

To each his own

Posted by tu_face on Aug-12-2004 08:58:

yeah this horse is definitely very dead.

there is something slightly different this time though... i have noticed a lack of originality in trance this year, whereas the last few years, there was a lot of shite but there was still more tracks with originality that dont just sound like recycled stuff that was released a year or two previous.

Trance and Prop dying? Guess I am gonna have to start listening to Hip hop. That 50 Cent guy is off the hizzle fo' shizzle. He is the real deal.

Not as half as stupid as your comment.

People have been saying trance is dead since the end of '99
Yet it still grows stronger.
When you have the likes of Above & Beyond, Leama & Moore, Smith & Pledger, Ace Da Brain, Probspot all churning out quality tracks how can you go wrong - Imo

Besides I cant stand Tiesto's version opf Adagio. It should have been left well alone - IMO once again

i think a bit of both - your taste is dying.
