What he said. Nothing special on that CD, no hard to find remixes or re-edits which would have been better then these million times released tracks.

my heart skipped a beat then when i read the title of this post. there are so many pvd edits/remixes etc that i am after such as: -

Fischerspooner - Emerge (PvD Remix)
A*S*Y*S - No more fucking Rock`n`Roll (Paul van Dyk Edit)
Magenta - Twisted Sprit (PVD Remix)
Marco V - I Feel You (PvD Remix)
Klea - Tic Toc (Magik Muzik Remix) (PvD Re-Edit)
Underworld - Born Slippy (PvD Remix)
Spacefrog - Follow Me (PvD Cut)
Ralphie B - Massive (Paul van Dyk Rework)

and though that i may be able to get a copy of at least some of them. oh well, will just have to carry on as normal.

ps - pvd, i really do love your remixes/re-edits of tunes, but am getting really f---ed off that u will never release them.

You can easily make all those edits yourself, just take the original and add a beat on top.

i'm right there with ya

The edits might be too easy to do, hell I do them myself, but I can never make it just like his versions. Simplistic, but quite effective to get the crowd moving, IMO.

have always loved to have tryed remixing fisherspooner - emerge. absolute quality. everytime i hear the pvd mix it sends goose bumps right across my body. emailed pvd about it a few times about releasing it, but just get the same answer as the rest of them - no, its not getting released

goddamn, this song will never be properly released!

This is nothing more than a licensed compilation of PvD Remixes. Look at the series it's part of, the first in it was a Paul Oakenfold one. So you can all stop the further continuing of the PvD hate bandwaggon because it's getting old. When the chance for him comes to release a rework / edit then he does.

The decision on whether a certain track can be released or not isn't always going to be down to PvD and Vandit. It's down to labels that own the rights to these tracks. Take Born Slippy for example; they've tried very hard on numerous occassions to get permission to release this track on a number of format's, including TPOD. But JBO just won't budge. Believe it or not they do listen to their fans. Autumn was released on TPOD largely due to the many many requests from fans, and you have to remember not everyone listens to vinyl so the fact that people could listen to this on CD was a big thing.

I'll use another example. Emerge; again another track that was not released because of the original artist. Fischerspooner doesn't like dance music and therefore PvD's remix has no chance of ever being released. He also wouldn't allow some of the other more "trancey" remixes to be released either, such as Junkie XL's I believe.

I hope you see what i'm getting at. When he can, his unreleased material will be released, but you have to remebmer that when they're not, there is a reason for it. On another note, there is going to be another relesae of Reflections called "Re Reflections." This will be remixed tracks on Reflections plus Wir Sind Wir as far as I am aware.

yeah, it's revolt with another bassline over it, samples from for an angel thrown sporadically, and some effects. nothing that hard to accomplish if you think about it.

it says a lot about your taste if you think the only good PvD remix is Cream

Reflections ? a career ender?

fuck me, fair play, he tried to be experimental and imo (being a pvd fan) he failed very badly...but in no way is it a career ender...he still makes and plays some of the most dancefloor destroying music out there...I guess some people just wanted another album full of dance tracks such as OTAB.

and as for making all those re-edits with just sticking a drum over them........what total ignorant shit.

hi mate. i havent got any samples, but pvd played it at the berlin love parade 2002, which was broadcasted on the radio1 essential mix. it would be really good to hear you have a go at this track, as although i love the original, i could never play it in one of my sets. the pvd mix is absolute genius
