Brent, your family will be in my thoughts tonight.

Orlando didn't get hit too bad, there was a little drizzle for about 30-40 mins where I live. Nothing bad though.

Sorry to hear that Brent, hope your family stays safe. I have friends in Tarpon Springs but havent spoken to them yet. Hope all is well for every one in the Tampa area.

My brother was evacuated and so were a lot of my friends. I am staying because I have two pets. That may sound silly to some people, but I have nowhere to take them and they are my family. I think I will be ok. My main concern is that my bedroom window is the size of most people's glass sliding doors and I live next to the woods.

I live near I-75 and I was just at the store. The gas station closest to the interstate had a line 40 cars deep easily. They had a police officer there. The stores look like they had been looted.

It will be chaos tomorrow. Two storms at the same time. Crazy.

Suck it up pussies, big fuckin deal, I lived through Hurricane andrew and three others, two tornados, dozens of blizzards, and deal with FLTA female bullshit, if u survive that, u can handle this, Party at my frat house, transportation is not needed I come pick u up!!!

Posted by trancebrat on Aug-13-2004 01:50:

I'm not in fear for my life. I just don't want to deal with floodings or damage to my home (or car). I'm sure most people feel the same way. My home is structurally sound so I'm confident it won't blow away in the storm. I don't think my roof would blow off. I would be more worried about severe damage if a tornado hit. That would destroy anyone's home. Either way I just look at my bedroom window and think...

Idea Hurricane Party!!

yea, the hurricane is no big deal don't worry about it! the thing that will suck the most is being stuck at home & bored cuz it's too stormy to go out.

with that in mind.... hurricane party @ my house~!~!
if we're lucky the power will stay on and we can play some sets, if not, we shoot pool in the dark
but seriously if anyone wants to brave the rain hang out at my place tommorow gimme a call up.

Hey if the power does go out during the party.
I got glowsticks, (quite a few of them too).

my family lives on the gulf shore in pinellas county... they had been evacuated, and we are just holding our breath to see how much water ends up in our house... kinda scary....

I got a question, are you not allowed to take your pets when you leave?

I wish your family the best Brent. Everything will be allright.. most of the rain ( which is on the right side of the Hurricane ).. will hit all of us in Miami and Broward, you guys just got to deal with the wind mostly.. depending where it hits, naples, ft.myers etc..

yes you are, but if you are one of the unlucky souls that doesnt have a place to go and has to go to a shelter then no pets are allowed at those places,... in these situations you never stay at a hotel,.. if at all possible stay with friends... about 50% of the bay area will be invading Orlando tonight

I'm right in the middle of north pinellas county. No evacuation for me, but I will probably go to work tommorow morning. Better get back home before shit stars flying around. Or maybe it's good time to call in sick, hmmm. Party @ damons house sounds good

Oh damn, I live in Lee County... And its coming.. soon, it will start to rain hard in about 30 minutes of the time of this post.
And its only the begining. I hope it doesn't get too much worse then it is now, but it will. It's coming too close for comfort. About 50-60 miles off the coast. DAMN, it should be over by.... Saturday, early morining around 12 or 1 am. I'm not too worried, I live in a 2nd floor apt. But still,
