Smiley DJ Sunquest - Temptations

hey guys, this is my newest tune, wanted to let u guys hear it, im almost done... and one thing i just wanna point out, its nothing personal to anyone, but the reason i dont always share full tracks is because labels dont allow the full track to be shared as mp3 world wide hehe
so its not that i hate TA, its that i cant
anyways, here is my newest track, this is all i got done so far, its a little mix between sunquest and tiesto hehe
let me know if theres anything i can fix, because i wanna try make it perfect, but who doesnt when producing

*IMPORTANT* - also one more thing, if anyone knows a girl who can just simply make a whisper for me, i just need a girl to whisper into a mic, temptations hehe, i wanna add it in the track, just cant find a vocalist with a normal good mic,
if anyone can help, please let me know, thanks

Track Info:
Genre: Melodic Trance
Length: 5:42
Quality: 128 kbps

i really like this one a lot ron.

Hi,
Listening to your work. Cool tune! Heh,not perfect, but nice!
Well I'll not tell you anything about mixing and mastering this time, because I already told you a lot of times.
The open hit-hat in the begining is too loud... Maybe try to fade it in like you did with the clap and don't make it so loud. And btw,the clap sound could be sharper.
The moment I really liked was 0:55, when the kick starts.
About FX's... it seems like you sampled them from another tune(s).The first one at 0:13 sounds like in Scarab - Monday PM. Am I right ?
Hm...I'm wondering how do you begin producing a track. Do you start by making the kick and basslines? If not, you should. Anyway you should hear how does kick and bass sounds together.Mute all instruments, and listen just kick+bass, and nothing else. The kick and the bass are the base of the tune. I'm saying this because your bassline lacks some power. As I told in your topics, try to put a compressor on it, or a little distortion effect.
About the main melody... not my cup of tea.
Keep working,and make this perfect
Good luck!

tnx guys, ill work on those hi hats in the beginning, proly will do a fade in...
ill TRY to make the bass/kick better Fractal , but i cant promise nothing
and as for the sound u say i took from airbases song, ur wrong , its just a sample i found, never even knew airbase used the same one, but thats ok

Really nice!! I love the synth arps, they carry the tune and are really nice and full and well set.
The bass sounds really good to me too, don't think you need to fix that too much.
Love the twinkling arps that begin around 3:00
Good tune m8!

X-cellent! But you can still share full trax! You can pull them anytime a label asks without a problem!

Keep Up!

It will be too late to remove the link

A friend of mine on the SONAR website just got signed and his song has been posted forever...he just kindly asked to remove the mp3 from the download page and they did. No probs. Everyone's happy.

dlin as usual buddy. ill either post or message u feedback.

*edit*

Liking this one a lot buddy. as someone posted earlier (sorry guy, i think it was fractal or mike foyle that posted it, but since i'm editing its not showing up the prev. posts and im really tired right now), a few little things need to be fixed up and it'll be perfect. kick could be a tad sharper. like the effect at 0:53-0:54 as the kick comes in, but it comes on a tidge strong off the first one, and threw me off for a couple seconds. some of the effects are really nice though, and the melody is great (as always).

i like that slightly more driven sound u got going around the 3:45 area up to 4:05. sounds nice, keeps the tune interesting, and the buildup is good too! right after it though, 4:38 or whenever it ends, the kick still sounds a bit compressed for the last bit of the track. but again, love how you keep this track entertaining and flowing (likin that piano addition)

Smile

thanx for replies, if u can, listen again hehe
'cause i think ive mastered a little of the mastering hehe,
i just started using wavelab since a few suggested it, and looks like it helps A LOT
song is more clearer now, louder kick, .... everything better i think
so ya,
i hope it better now

Smoking ..umm..something

Nice song, good effects, piano i feel your style, why it is monotony for me?

Greetings

Ok : the start pad should be louder, the lead which cames at 55' can be more filtered (or just change him, I'm in "Sawerdose" ) ... The clap seems a bit cheese (the reverb ?), your drums should be more deep, they are few, add some Open Hat and flanged Ride or some tribal rythms (congas, bongos...)...
One other thing, your bassline is "muffled", equalize me that !

Nice work, good melody and clean stuff...

Hey there Sunquest!

Great work on the tune! Tho I dont like that saw-lead which follows the tune all the way.. it sounds way to boring.. I would have tried something more atmospheric... other than that it's very good!

i see a definite seven cities armin mix inspired start here..
ok, really love the intro.. sounds like a brilliant set-opener.
at saw lead that comes in.. i think it's too much contrast than the soft atmospheric sound you created before it... i would maybe use a stacatto sine/pulse wave with delay&verb...

loved how the saw lead come in through the breakdown but again i feel it doesnt agree with everything else you've created..maybe some detune or something as well... the synth that comes in at 4:25 ish sounds really nice, but would sound even better with a louder/stronger bass when it kicks in with the perc again.

as has been the general trend with previous comments i think you should really work at this, make some polishes, and you'll have a great tune.

nice work mate
