Camera Phones
Ive had it... i hate camera phones, why is everyone so stuck on camera phones, who really uses cameras on them, like how seriously bored are you to take pictures on a screen just double the area of my thumb...
Im trying to convince people that camera phones are not worth the time and mostly money.
Anyone agree with me?
I myself have a new fone that i made sure didn't have a camera in built... i just want a phone to make calls, thats what a freken phone is, to make and recieve calls, if i wanted a camera all i have to do is check my left pocket if i brought along with me my digital camera which i do use.
Anyone got any arguments why camera phones are a waste and a social engineering tool from Nokia and Motorola.
Sure im no angel i used to drink Latte's cause they were trendy but i only gave up because caffeine takes out calcium, so bugger that, not because someone told me i was just trying to be hip.
Any other reasons why camera phones are a waste?

Yup, I made sure not to get a camera phone as well. Not only are the pics small but they're terribly shit quality as well!
One day I tried to take a pic of some strange object on the ground with my mom's camera phone. I had to abandon the idea in the end because you couldn't see it at all in the pic - it was all a blur.
The camera manufacturers should concentrate on things that would actually be useful (improved sound quality, longer battery life etc.) instead of this shit.
Right on mr mystery, improved features and battery life would surely be more useful, that just teenie boopers who take photos of their cats.
from about a year, nokias have reached that limit in battery life, why don't they try extending that , or coming up with USEFULL designs, and innovations, rather than making the freken keys smaller making it less userfriendly for those non-annorexic's out there.

I've also heard that you don't get calls coming thru while you are downloading stupid bad quality pictures, imagine if that was your familiy member having a stroke, or a seizure, or your best friend hanging from a cliff?
I think people should reconsider what is more important in their lives, them, or what other people think of them, i know what i would choose.

i reckon cameras in phones arent a bad idea - but they need to improve the quality a fuckload... get something like a 4 megapixel camera into an 8310 sized phone and i'd be very willing to buy it
its couse some people dont wanna carry a freakin camera around!
It's only a matter of time till the quality gets better. 1megapixel is going to be the minimum standard soon... and they've already got a few phones with 3 megapixel cameras on them, which is pretty acceptable quality. It'd be good for MMS and times something funny happens and you don't have a camera on you. A few friends have a collection of photos of random girls they picked up, to show their friends for approval 
. My mates with video camera capabilities on their phones already have a few funny videos on them too.
A guy at school showed us a picture of a chick sucking his wang...
We thought it was funny until we realised he was showing us his dick...

But yeah, keeping on topic. I think camera phones are a good idea, i mean who the hell wants to carry arround a massive digital camera when its right there in your phone (which you would be carrying around anyway). Besides, its not like anyones going to be making an A2 poster out of the images so who gives a shit what the quality is like? Hell its probably just as good as a normal (non digital) camera anyway.

There is already a 1mega pixel cameraphone out now.. so you cant really argue about the quality anymore...
I use mine all the time, well i tend to use the video function rather than the photo. Im always taking vids when im out on the piss and my mates are doing stupid stuff.
aparrently some camera phones now come with a 2.2 megapixel camera..
which is quite impressive.. technology eh??

Camera phones have good things and bad things about them. They are convenient because you never know when you will come acrossed something that you want to take a picture of, and you carry your phone around more than your camera.
They can be used in bad ways though, such as invading peoples privacy.
When I was in school back when the camera phones first came out I overheard the principle telling one of the teachers to take anyones phone if they see it out during a test. Apparently students were taking pictures of test questions and giving them to people in other hours (brilliant idea).
I also saw a story on the news about students who took pictures of naked chicks and were charging other students money at school to view the pictures. They ended up getting expelled and I believe they had to go to court.
I, for one, can't scratch together enough cash to get a digital camera, so the camera phone comes in handy. Plus, it's always on you when you're out, so you can catch priceless moments when you normally wouldn't have a camera with you.
And for someone who isn't a photographer, the picture quality is decent, obviously nothing to get all excited about.

i got a camera for pictures, and vid cam for videos, and a phone for other stuff.
when ppl were like, 'ewww, your phone doesnt have a camera' I didnt care, I ouwldnt use it anyways, and I'd rather have msn messenger, IE and emulated games 
you guys are killing me. Megapixel denotes SIZE clarity and quality denoted by LENSES.
hmmm, it could be great for blackmail. my ex has a 15 second clip of me on his new phone taking a pee and talking baby talk to my dog at the same time...
