Favorite producer as of right now and why?

For me, Luke Chable is on top right now. His style is very new, ive never heard another person create music in the way he does.

Other mentions: Yunus Guvenen - if you havent heard some of his work you need to check it out NOW. Creates emotion almost better than anyone else. He has his own style.

Kasey Taylor - tearing apart the scene as of late, making disturbingly amazing tracks on Vapour Recordings.

Oliver Lieb - will always be on top.

Remy & Roland

Oh! Because they bring respect back to trance.

Benz & MD...because they're almost as good as R&R. Too heavily influenced by 'brit house' though.

Probspot for me. Some great innovative and fresh sounding tracks and remixes over the last 6 months or so

I think Fred Baker deserves a mention. Everything he touches right now is just pure quality.

Junkie XL.

I don't think any explanation is necessary.

Posted by eternaenergy on Aug-13-2004 16:16:

yeah i can also say that Remy n Roland are making some quality sounds!

Pig & Dan
quantity of quality. these guys have released like 15 vinyls since the start of the year and about 10 of them are absolutely excellent true progressive tracks that fit exactly my style. best producers of the year!

James Holden
back on form with the awesome "come to me" (why doesn't people hype this more? track of the year candidate imo), quality remixes of nathan fake and.. britney! he managed to remix britney and make me like the vocal mix more than the dub mix, which is quite an achievement

Michael Burns
"forwards" is just awesome, and the other tracks on north ep are great too. add to that the excellent tracks under the blue haze alias and you got one of the most consistent producers of the year.

L-Vee
this guy is still on top. apart for the ripoffs of xpander, this guy bringed us antidote - sciabada, fire & ice - para siempre, airwave - ladyblue (original and antidote mixes), planisphere - cubed/frogged, b4 - onde.. enough reasons for a mention

Petter
just cause of "six songs ep" and the remix of rouzbeh delavari. they sound so "phat" yet deep, energetic yet slow on bpms, so original and creative. plus some amazing melodies

Leon Bolier
aka subsphere. infinite, sweet fragrance, love u so and specially beautitude are all great pieces of dark progressive trance, add to that the boiler room remix on classical trancelations, the mindsensation tracks and the result is an impressive list of good music

Haak
quality of production is what stands out on him, but also versatility.. compare bass shuttle to the remix of sonic breeze, not really similar.. those samples on amateur producer forum back then sounded promising too

that's enough for now

i've always liked AvB's productions....just mint. wont change

pvd on the minus side - his stuff has trailed off into the darkness

Yup, Yunus Guvenen has a nice sound. He produced 'Sufi' under his alias 'Mavi', in case noone recognizes his real name.

Right now I'm also loving Sasha's remix work ('Involver', anyone?).

I guess you didn't hear about the Mr. Sam "scandal"? He doesn't really produce himself, he gets other people like Fred Baker to do it for him and then he takes credit for it.

Hyper!!!!!!!

but I will go with the great twosome

Grayarea

A bunch of hard drinking, partying, womanizing guys, actually stay sober enough to make great music. Their mix of Gravity is certainly the best song of the summer 2004, just unstoppable.

and the legends (HYBRID!!!!!!!!!)

What do you say? They completely own, their remix of from a distance and others are just mean and the remix album and the mix album will be out (when distinctive gets it's act together!!!!).

Agreed!, also add to my List:

Ozgur Can

Lange - Still one of the best

Fred Baker & Terry Bones - Nothing needed to be said here

Agnelli & Nelson - odd 'meh' tune now & then (rmx of ferry) but quality

tukan/f&w/atn also
