Top 5 UNDERRATED 2004 tracks?

We have a thread about the overrated tracks, what about those that didn't get enough attention?

Actually, i might scrape up 2 or 3 tracks i never saw anyone on this forum having MAC J - NIGHTWARE as one of their current fav's. That track is being pushed up the charts by Rank 1, and the guy really sounds great, i will try Nightware tonight in the club and see how the people will react.

Re:Locate - Fortitude anyone?

Nikola Gaya - Swing 2 Harmony is a track i'd like to see played more, as far as i know, only Markus Schulz plays this, as an intro mainly

Posted by Yeti on Aug-14-2004 12:34:

i see you have ridgewalkers in your sig...

That also is a track not being played enough, and it is SOOOO SWEEEEET!

Paul Van Dyk- Thats Life.

Most Underplayed and underrated song.

P.S. the song needs to be played at 145 bpm i.e. pitch up 3 1/2 %

I guess you know those are PVD's vocals in the tune

Paul Van Dyk - Thats Life, the version from the album, would be a great tune minus the vocals, the riff sounds like Jon Vesta - Substance.

I think Draft 2 Design - Affection Over Reason deserves more attention.

Planet Hill - L'Arte Di Vivere / Vision Is, a great EP, such a shame it doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Flashdance - Deep Dish. Its a great song!

Armin drops it as well. At least on ASOT...

For me it's:
Alucard Presents Yana Kay - Eyes Of The Perfect Stranger
Primolux - Turnpoint
Witness Of Wonder - Emotions Of Motion

Anything by Recluse

5.Will Holland - Summer Breeze (uplifting/melodic trance at its best )
4.Svenson - Sunlight Theory (cool tune co-produced with Envio)
3.Oliver Shine - Southstar (Ferry loved so much this song that this guy is gonna remix Sweet Sorrow )
2.John 00 Fleming - I'm Not Fooled (must of his stuff is underrated)
1.Filo & Peri - Spectrum (every dj played i-95 but what about this massive b-side )

Yeah, i have Northstar, it rocks! I will try to get a hold of this one...

As for I 95...i like it better than Spectrum. It's kinda clubby-PVDy-dancy style

I was very surprised Oakie never got into the Transa remix of Sisko (or Angeles) - Light Over Me

He was all over the original when that was out, but not the MASSIVE MASSIVE Transa remix...nor was anyone for that matter

I guess another would be Aalto - Taurine (original mix)....was I the only one besides Armin who loved it?

It's the DJ Astrid vs Octagen mix. I'm assuming DJ Astrid had most of the input on the musical side as there's no way a producer as excellent & consistent as Octagen could come out with something so dull :-/

The original is alot better, I agree, but kinda lacks something imho. It feels like it should reach a full on peak but it doesn't.

Sublunar - Sanctuary
Emjay & A. Souter - Prepare Yourself
POB & Taylor - Aura (Northern Lights Mix)
Steve May - Open Day (Luke Chable Quakes & Craters Mix)
Petter - Left Turned
Rouzbeh Delavari - Inner Structure (Petter Deep In The Loop Mix)
Azior - Deep and Inside

5. A Matsumoto & DJ Yoshi - Dreamer (The MFA Mix)
Everyone heaped praise on Chable's mix, but The MFA turn in a brilliantly refreshing, hypnotic rework that takes top remix honours.

4. Damian DP - Elation
Bass-driven monster of a prog houser, perfect for peak time and yet largely neglected.

3. Powerplant - Turn It Into Gold (Madoka's Faded Memories Mix)
Simply massive prog breaks anthem. Probspot's mix gets the hype, but Madoka can't be beat. Perhaps the best breaks track of the year.

2. Floyd - Any Given Day
Just when I thought RvdB had lost his creative touch, he comes up with this tech-edged, driving trancer. Simply effective and one of the best of 2004.

1. Quadran - No Air
Trance the way it was meant to be.

Posted by on Aug-14-2004 22:13:

Riva - Runaway
Alex Bartlett - Amnesia
2XLC - Divided States

Quadra (Inside Out Mix) - David Forbes & Mallorca Lee

Best tune of 2004 IMO- so catchy and has such dynamic and energy, unlike the usual mush released nowadays.
