Protesting with flags!
So im thinking of hanging a Soviet and Cuban flag outside my store. Why? To protest the fact that the city wont let me put up ANY signs other than the flat one that nobody can see. The wont let me put up banners, flags, illuminated or non-illuminated signs facing the direction of passing traffic, balloons, temporary signs, etc
the only thing the allow are country flags. Hence why im putting up those 2 flags, in honour of the "freedom" that we have here. Ill get my store noticed despite the city.

we have enough corporate propoganda thrown in our faces already, im glad I dont have to stare at a quiznos sign as i walk down the street.
p.s. i have nothing against quiznos , im just sick of adverts.

If u dont like signs there arent very many in the countryside 
Face it folks, cities consist of:
signs
cars
noise
pollution
people
crowds
If you dont like any of these things, canada has millions of square kilometres of wide open space that has none of these things.
make sure u hoist up an EU flag as well .. i got one when i was over in Europe this summer and find that it has a rather nice shade of blue ..
Yeah but the EU has freedom...
hoist it up anyway it's a nice lookin flag!

I have to think hard about this. Sadly just this simple act of protest might be enough to "offend" Canadians thus driving me out of business. If only people here had common sense and support for one another.
Take freedoms away and tax the hell out of us and we wont complain but leave a piece of bacon off a sub and we will scream bloody murder!
I really dont get people here.... which is funny because i was born and raised here. Usually its immigrants that share my views.

here's your answer:
Well to me that is a city. And you dont see that many signs all over the place in many cities, but to me that adds a certain wierd charm to what i assume is hong kong or beijing. Just like the gigantic billboards make times square what it is. Why does everything have to be homogenous to be nice?
how about you start a poll about what people prefer.
Visually cluttered streets against status quo.
something to look at vs the same ole boring street that looks like the next same ole boring street?
Trees get boring after awhile you know...
