BT - Monster

BT did the soundtrack for the movie Monster, the one where Charlize Theron won best actress

has anyone purchased this cd? how is it? trancey?

I seriously couldn't recall hearing any edm in that movie. I thought most ofi t was comprised of '80s rock/pop since the movie was meant to be based in that era.

Nevertheless, a powerfull movie that should be missed. Great performances all round.

the cd rocks!!! one of bt's best score imo. the cd style is similar to craig armstrong if you're into him.

Don't expect it to be a dance album, because it's not. I was expecting it to be when I bought it and I ended up being EXTREMELY disapointed.

Yes, not a dance album (unless by that, you mean slow-dancing... ha ha... "Childhood Montage" is a wonderful piece to set the stage -- the melody will get you). Listen to the sound samples first and see if it tickles your fancy. It's like roots Americana heartland stuff with plenty of guitar jingling and hurdy-gurdy wailing action, with a few electronic beats and synthetic processes here and there. A meeting between the old and the new. Very beautiful film soundtrack.
