No Power

Am I the only one who has to use the computer at work to browse and post? We have a total power outage for the next three or five days at home. Yesterday, the streets were absolute mess. Awnings, trees, signs and some roofs were blown off. Some powerlines were hanging low to the ground. I had to find alternate ways to drive to work.

Also, there is a major deficit on items like ice, charcoal, C and D size batteries, flashlights and radios. Most food venues are closed and I had to eat cold food with cold water. Good thing that there is a running water.

I feel sorry for the less fortunate folks. Hopefully, things will pick up within couple days. Looking on the bright side, at least it is some kind of change.

Crap, Stan. I hope you recover well over there. Best wishes to you and yours, as well as everyone else up there. I've never been through what you're describing, so I have no idea what it's like. Here's hoping to a speedy recovery.

Hey Stan! I had no idea you guys got hit that hard. That really sucks! I know my friends in Port Charlotte got slammed. I hope anything of value to you survived the storm. I hope things improve sooner than expected.

Stan

you're not the only one bro, i'm posting this from work and i was so glad to come in today.
both my new house i was supposed to move into this weekend and the house i'm currently living at are without power. i've been told the house i'm living at won't get power til thursday, not sure about the new house, there were lots of trucks working on the lines right by it, so i'm hoping it'll be soon.
also, when i left work friday i had almost no gas, one station i tried was out and another had a line so i decided to just go home, let me say getting gas was also pretty rediculous, but i finally filled up.
i'll post some pictures from the morning after when i get my camera later.
best wishes to all the orlando TAs who are dealing with this!
and best wishes as well to Amber's friends, i'm sure there situation is worse.

I got power restored in my house, but no cable, which means no cable TV and internet. I am using computer at Vinyl Frontier. I don't have any significant damage. That's good. Thank you guys for your wishes and prayers. It means a lot to me. There is a lot of damage around community, especially trees falling on something (powerlines, buildings, etc.).

I'm still out of power and might not get it for two more days. I'm glad I know crazy loads of people willing to part with couches or i'd be even more miserable than I am now.

90 degrees and 90% humidity in a house with no AC? Yeah, sleep ain't happenin. That doesn't even take into account mosquitos.
