Vic's loft party, 8/14/2004
So, how were things before 6 am (when I arrived) ?
For the following two hours, the tunes and times were fantastic, as usual
Here are pics of Alex Pearce, David Scott, and the riot that is the Ringmaster: click here

Damn if he plays like that in Dallas they will eat out of his hand!
Vic's set was definitely sweet. I enjoyed it as always
didn't dance much, however...it was just too damn hot. so that kind of sucked.
I had a good time at the party but more towards the end then the beginning. Saturday's party was the first one I have ever been to that had some strange vibe to it. Maybe it was the rain, maybe I was just sober and tired..but I don't think so. Everyone else agreed with me. I don't really want to say anything negative because the loft parties are fucking awesome no matter what...but the vibe was lacking saturday. There were a lot less music-lovers than there should have been. Seemed like were way too many assholes talking shit and drinking beer and making fun of the people who were there for the DJs. I heard so much shit-talking it wasn't funny. Jesus christ, if you don't like trance don't fucking come (this excludes Bobby's comments because he's special
)! And, seems to me, if I have never seen your face before..how much can you really be into the music/scene/lifestyle? It's a relatively small family...
Whatever. I just hate negativity in a place where it's so rarely found. Anyway, I still had a great time and was happy to see some of the regs and a few old faces from Arc. All the DJS did extremely well, better than usual even. DavidScott has really been impressing me lately and Alex was just off the wall. Mykal Matters threw it down as well (also got a chance to listen to the CD he gave out and it is MINT). I missed Bobby's set
Victor's set was really ... intricate. The first tracks were kind of emotional and deep..and then he got more upbeat and uplifting..then there was a point where we were going back in time and he was playing some old school signature vic tracks (that digital tv one) and I was reminiscing. It was all over the place..but was not without flow and continuity. It worked well. It was like a montage of every set I ever head Vic spin. Like a glimpse at the last couple years. It was really interesting to me.. did anyone else notice this?
I missed a lot of the familiar TA faces. You all better come for the next one!
Alright im now pissed I missed this one
Ended up over sleeping and not making it.
i had loads of fun!!!! danced till i dropped and i'am paying for it
great to hang out with everyone!
vics set was really great! he played synastashia, no one on earth, face to face ( i went beserk!)out there and back, energize
erm and more! i can't remember now lol

| Originally posted by Sunshine79 well i don't think people talking shit about Vic is very friendly. there were some real jerks making fun of everyone. Not that obviously...perhaps I was just able to notice because i was sober and clear-headed. most of these guys left when the beer ran out and things went back to normal. of course, bobby, i am also looking forward to the next party and i still did have a good time. as i said, vic's parties ALWAYS rock. i am just noting the difference. |
